The pupils read the words. If they are things you can find inside a house, they colour the
spaces blue. If they are not, they colour the spaces yellow. When they finish, ask the pupils to
tell you what they can see (Charlie in the bath).

The pupils use the template to make a birthday invitation for a friend: they fill in their friend’s
name and their own age on their next birthday. Then they sign their name on the bottom. The
pupils can colour and cut out the invitation. Alternatively, the pupils can make their own
invitation design.
