Engineering process ensures that tender documents, design drawings and diagrams are effectively developed
and timely for bidding and final for construction. This is supported by the following sub-processes:

1. Pre-bidding for Construction and Design - procedure in participating pre-bid conference and site
inspection in order to gather the necessary data needed for quantity taking off.

2. Quantity Surveying – To establish procedure to conduct quantification and costing of projects for
bidding.

3. Bid Clarification – procedure in clarifying technical and commercial queries.

4. Project Awarded – procedure to turn over necessary documents of the awarded projects.

5. Engineering Design – procedure to establish the conventions to be adhered to by engineering and


design team in the preparation, revision and completion of engineering design, calculations and
drawings.

Engineering process interfaces primarily with Business Development, the Operation, and Clients including with
Design Service Contractors (as required). Resources required to carry out the Engineering process are determined
and allocated during the Strategic Planning. The overall performance of the process is monitored through the
Review and Improvement Process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The VP for Engineering is responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test,
modify, and create solutions to construction design, tendering and other technical concerns. Engineering staff
shall duly support the VP Engineering to help ensure effective engineering process.
