Definitions and Abbreviations

COMPANY: KAR Construction & Engineering
Consultant: KAR Pipelines LTD.
Contractor: Hawax Corporation
Third Party Inspector (TPI): An independent organization, person, firms, partnerships, companies, bodies, entities or a combination
thereof, other than COMPANY and CONTRACTOR who shall review and certify the product/ process/ equipment’s/ tools etc. to
complies with specific standards or requirements for safety, quality or performance.
Inspection request (IR): Formal request to be issued by contractor, IR shall be notified to Company 24 hours in advance.
Inspection and Test Plan (ITP): A project's approved document which identifies the main quality control activities (inspection,
examination or test, etc.) to be performed during fabrication of equipment and materials. Each activity is designated with key code as
stated in followings:
1. HOLD (H): IR shall be issued to the concern and activity shall not proceed without client representative presence.
2. WITNESS (W): IR shall be issued to the concern and activity can be proceed without their presence, if the absence confirmed by
the client representative.

3. Monitoring (M): The activity shall be observe/monitor by dedicated inspection personnel and formal request is not required.

4. Actual Inspection (A): The standard inspection shall be carried out by dedicated personnel through out activity and formal
request is not required.
5. Surveillance (S): During execution of activity at any stage the Contractor/Company representative can visit and verify/inspect
and formal request is not required.
6. Review (R): This is a binding request to review and accept documents, certificates, procedures for specific activities and test and
required document will submit by the sub contractor.
