ACTIVITY PLAN for GRADE 3 SCIENCE

LIFE CYCLE OF THE BUTTERFLY

I. OBJECTIVE

 At the end of the lesson the student should be able to name or classify the
four stages of the life cycle of a butterfly and describe what happens in each
stage.
II. MATERIALS

1. Modeling clay (with different colors)


2. Card board
III. INSTRUCTION

1. Do counting 1 up to 5, so basically you will have 5 members in


each group since you are 25 pupils in the class.

2. In this activity you will going to create the 4 stages of the life cycle
of a butter fly by molding it with the use of the modeling clay

3. In each group you will assign 1 person to hold the modeled clay or
your finished output and the 4 students will be designated to
explain each part of the life cycle. (e.g student 1 will going to
explain the stage to and the student 2 will be explain the next
part).

4. Go to your respective tables and be creative in making and do the


best that you can but also enjoy the activity.

Clarity – 5
Explanation – 10
Creativity – 5
TOTAL = 30 POINTS
