(The Basic Principle of Fire Safety)

The video that I watch is all about the fire safety: basic principles like how to
reduce the risk of fire by identifying why they start and how they spread. It shows in the
video some probable causes of fire like gas stove and iron. Also, they show the
emergency response options and identifying the need for an evacuation plan. So, the
basic principles of Fire safety are fire avoidance, fire detection, fire growth restriction,
fire containment, fire control, smoke control and escape provisions. It’s good for the
student like me, to watch a simple video like that because it will help every individual to
have a basic knowledge about fire safety.
One of my reaction is, watching a video like that is a good start for our subject fire
technology and arson investigation, starting to the basic allow us, student to understand
and have a basic knowledge about the fire safety. Having a basic knowledge about fire
safety, even if its basic, that will be a huge advantage as an individual person, because
you will know what to do and what not to do in a crisis, and it’s so important to know the
five-minute fire emergency, of course to prevent fire and protect life. I’m so excited to
learn more about this subject because I want to widen my knowledge about the fire
safety and arson investigation.
In conclusion, the video that we student watch, for me it’s important because it
include how to prevent fire/disaster and how to protect life. It’s important for us aspiring
future police officer to have those knowledges because this will help us in the future
especially in decision making, when we encounter a crisis that includes fire.
