1.1 General

This specification covers the requirements for the design, engineering,


manufacture, inspection, testing and supply of 132kV Gas Insulated
ENG’G

Switchgear (GIS) and associated remote metering, protection and


control panels.
The switchgear shall be completely factory built, assembled, wired and
tested. When it is necessary to separate the units for ease of

transportation, adequate materials and instructions shall be provided for


ease of field re-assembly.
The metal enclosed gas insulated switchgear and associated panels
will be installed indoors in air conditioned rooms.

1.2 Prototype Equipment


Prototype equipment which has not been in service for at least two
