Overview:

This week was a little different than the previous weeks. I had less meetings that I

expected too this week which was a good change of pace. This week I spent a lot of time doing

research on the Limited English Proficiency Re- search report. On Friday I also attended an in-

house conference that discussed some of the things necessary for positive patient engagement.

Monday:

 I came into the office then went to the Morning huddle at 9:15. I was supposed to meet

with the hospital CEO today and meet with Angie about the belongings project however both got

canceled so I focused on my report and did some minor office things I was asked to do.

Tuesday:

I came into the office then went to the Morning huddle at 9:15. Today my supervisor and

I had a meeting to check up on how my research has been going and to create a timeline for our

other projects. I also continued on reading things about the A5 process and the clean team

project. Wednesday: I came into the office then went to the Morning huddle at 9:15.To- day we

had our in-house huddle which was just foe Maria, Ife, Fay and myself. This huddle we

discussed what the progress for the past week and the upcoming projects for the next week. I also

continued on my report which is coming along very well and I have learned so much.

Thursday:

I came into the office then went to the Morning huddle at 9:15. Today I focused on

accompanying Maria in her catching up as well as gain some more guidance for my research

project. Overall I have been spending a lot of time reading and creating summaries for literature

that relates to my LEP research.

Friday:







 Today was completely different from the other mornings. I cam in early today for a

conference that the Patient Experiences office was hosting.I got to watch my supervisor and the

other team members present on various topics related to diversity and patient care best practices.

It was very interesting to watch them all present for various reasons and through the whole think

I thought about the many ways I could improve my own presentation skills. I liked how they

made it interactive and more of a group discussion than a presentation where they were just

talking at the participants. Many of the topics that discussed I have already went through during

my pervious leadership trainings however it was interesting to see how they related these

leadership topic
