SUBJECT : Investigation Report on Qualified Theft

I- AUTHORITY:

1. This case was investigated by the undersigned Investigator per verbal


instruction by the OIC, Lagonoy MPS.

2. PNP inherent duty.

II- MATTERS TO BE INVESTIGATED:

3. To determine the facts and veracity regarding on the qualified theft incident
that led to the taking and harvesting, with intent to gain, about Two Thousand (2,000) pieces of
coconut fruits, valued at Thirteen Thousand Pesos (P 13,000) from the land owned by the private
complainant, Felipe Pereira, situated at Sitio Caguiscan, Barangay Loho, Lagonoy, Camarines Sur
on July 23, 2021 or even prior thereto.

4. To establish the identity of the perpetrators and be held criminally liable.

III- FACTS OF THE CASE:

5. Last July 23, 2012 at or about 7:00 AM team from Lagonoy, MPS, got a call
from the victim Mr. Pereira that there was an incident of theft in his coconut land at Sitio
Caguiscan, Barangay Loho, Lagonoy, Camarines Sur. Immediately, team from this station under
PO3 Alexander Rodriguez and PO3 Joshua P. Colarina, Chief Investigator, together with the
aforesaid unit, proceeded to the place of incident to verify the report and to conduct an
investigation.

6. According to investigation, the undersigned was able to talk to Mr. Felipe


Periera, according to him, they were away from their house for a couple of days, and when he
and his family went back at their house and visited his coconut land situated at Sitio Caguiscan,
Loho, Lagonoy, Camarines Sur on July 23, 2012, it was then he saw that all of the coconut fruits
were already gone.

7. After the victim was wandering around to his coconut land, one of his
neighbors Mrs. Josephine Ilagan, told him that he saw Mr. Roger Ollete y Doe the night of July
22, 2012 wandering around in Mr. Pereira’s coconut land.

8. The initial assessment on the area was about two thousand (2,000) pieces of
coconut fruits were missing which was valued at thirteen thousand pesos (P13, 000).

9. The undersigned had a conversation with Mr. Roger Ollete y Doe, the suspect
admitted the crime of taking away and harvesting with intent to gain, about Two Thousand
(2,000) pieces of coconut fruits, valued at Thirteen Thousand Pesos (P 13,000) from the land
owned by the private complainant, Felipe Pereira, situated at Sitio Caguiscan, Barangay Loho,
Lagonoy, Camarines Sur on July 23, 2012 or even prior thereto.
IV- DISCUSSION:

10. Based from the testimony of Mrs. Ilagan and the admission of the suspect
Mr. Roger Ollete y Doe, it was him who took and harvested with intent to gain, about Two
Thousand (2,000) pieces of coconut fruits, valued at Thirteen Thousand Pesos (P 13,000) from
the land owned by the private complainant, Felipe Pereira, situated at Sitio Caguiscan, Barangay
Loho, Lagonoy, Camarines Sur on July 23, 2012 or even prior thereto.

V- CONCLUSION:

11. Through careful and deeper investigation, Mr. Roger Ollete y Doe was
responsible for the theft incident involving Two Thousand (2,000) pieces of coconut fruits, valued
at Thirteen Thousand Pesos (P 13,000) from the land owned by the private complainant, Felipe
Pereira. Our state, as a democratic country, recognizes the fundamental constitutional mandate
and principle of due process of law, hence, we are obliged to follow that rule as we belong in the
same state.

VI- RECOMMENDATION:

12. The undersigned investigator strongly recommends the filing of appropriate


case against perpetrator.
