3. The students will be separated into 5 groups who will focus

on one of the 5 regions of the U.S. and construct a shape of one
of the states in the region they are working on out of
playdough. (5-10 minutes)
 4. The students will then come up to the board to work on their
region map as a group. (This will take a couple days to get
through all of the regions.) They will place the states on the map
and then check their work on the answer slide.

5. The students who are not presenting will be instructed to use

their devices to follow along in order to practice regions that
they were not assigned to present.

6. The students will be given a worksheet to color to reinforce

their new knowledge of the states
