Statement of motivation

My name is ………………, an applicant from Pakistan. Currently, I am working as an R&D and Quality
Control Executive in one of the renowned restaurants of Pakistan. I would like to be granted
the…………. scholarship because it will offer me with the opportunity to partake in MSc program of
………….. at among the best universities worldwide.

My verdict to participate in this Master’s Dissertation originates from ample motives, among which, there
are two core ones. Firstly, this program is exceptionally compatible with my aptitude, interest, academic
edification and most notably with my professional experience. After six years of theoretical study in
university and three years of practical knowledge in my field, I have acquired a firm, in-depth, integrating
and diversified foundation generally in food, and specifically in meat and poultry processing industries. In
addition, motivating internships at dairy and snack food industries brought me better understanding of the
importance of uninterrupted quality supply of these foodstuffs to the end-users.

The second reason for my choice has derived from the eminent reputation of highly qualified tutoring
system of the mentioned universities in this program. Having a chance to study in them means that I shall
have opportunities to approach and experience best educational systems globally. This MSc program will
offer me novel aspects in science of animal-derived foods, theoretic knowledge, practical technologies as
well as research and development methodologies; mainly focusing on the principal issues of current era
including, overcoming amplified international requirements of good quality meat and milk products, with
special emphasis on consumers and animal well-being.

An additional factor that makes me confident of my choice is the achievements I obtained during my
university epoch. All through that phase, I always remained among the top-three students of my institute.
Particularly, in M.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology, I topped my Institute by achieving CGPA of 4.00/4.00. I
got several scholarships throughout my studentship in commemoration of decent academic performance.

In my home country, vital issues stressed in this particular degree program are quite overlooked, and this
scholarship program will bring me a great chance to come within reach of them. By taking this course, I
am optimistic for finding innovative and effective practices to improve meat and milk production,
keeping in view the betterment of animal health; and moreover, to improve the end-product quality for
maintenance of customer’s health.
To sum up, winning the……… Scholarship will enable me not only to broaden my knowledge, but also to
gain experience from people and culture of referred countries. In the longer term, I sturdily desire to
contribute to the cause of assuring food security initially in my country laterally worldwide, under the
umbrella of United Nations. Optimistically, on coming back to Pakistan, I shall have the chances to work
for enhancement of product quality in meat and dairy sectors. By this, I shall be able to fulfill my dream
directing Pakistani natives to sustainably utilize their existing resources and boost up economy.
