Dear Professional Colleagues,
I hope this communication finds you and all your family members healthy
and safe!
As we begin to emerge from what is probably the most challenging times
for our generation, I reach out to seek your active participation in the
forthcoming ICAI Central Council Elections scheduled to be held on 3rd
and 4th December 2021.
As responsible members of our esteemed ICAI, it is our bounden duty to
exercise our vote and show our respect, faith and trust in ICAI. And that
is true now more than ever. Your vote and support will decide the power
of the constitution of the new Central Council.
In my professional career of over 3 decades, I have had the privilege of
seeing various facets of our profession – as a student, as a fresh
qualified member, as an entrepreneur, as a partner and leader who has
had the privilege to don various national & international roles. The
journey has been both exciting and enriching for me.
After spending over three decades in the profession, I honestly believe
that there is no other profession which is as ‘wholesome’ and that CAs
are true ‘Partners in Nation Building ‘. I am blessed to be a tiny part of
this esteemed profession. In my humble and honest view, there is no
better way to repay my indebtedness to the profession, than to help
“reimagining and transforming the profession’.
Towards this goal, I am contesting in the upcoming Elections for the
Central Council of ICAI from the western region. I wish to contribute in
various decisions/initiatives of ICAI that will help in ‘Reimagining and
Transforming the Profession’.
I am attaching my vision document and seek your support and first
preference vote and your blessings to be part of this transformational
journey.
Like Mahatma Gandhi said, “Be the change, you wish to see”. Please
remember that ‘every vote counts’ and I look forward to seeing you at the
poll booths on 3rd and 4th December 2021.

My call for action…
Working with you to draft a medium and long term vision for the profession which
will serve as a guiding light for all upcoming councils and office bearers will be an
important area of focus for me. At the same time, I have identified certain specific
areas of focus which will be my immediate priority

Students Members in industry

• ICAI-sponsored coaching for students
from financially weaker background
• Partial waiver of examination fee for
female students from financially weaker
background
• Improve the relevance of and technology
content in our curriculum to keep pace
with the constantly evolving business
environment
• Collaborate with premier business
schools to offer relevant courses with
the potential to add extra finesse to the
current CA students’ skill set
