Disaster preparedness refers to measures taken to prepare for and reduce the effects of

Procedure:
Complete the details Family Disaster Preparedness Plan.
How safe is your In my opinion, our home is not safe from disasters like earthquakes and floods
home? because outside our home there are surrounding trees and poles. And we are
also close to the river. And if asked, if our home is safe from a fire disaster, I
think our home is safe. Because there are some things that are important we
keep such as gas, matches, power cables and plugging things with electrical.
We take care not to forget things that might endanger us.
Things to do during the During Flood: Do not walk, swim or drive through flood waters. Move to higher
disaster? ground or a higher floor. Find safe shelter right away. Be aware of the risk of
electrocution. Do not touch electrical equipment if it is wet or if you are standing in
water. Turn off the electricity to prevent electric shock if it is safe to do so.
During bad weather: Listen to the news. Get inside right away. If you are in the woods,
you must find a place that's low and beneath small trees. Do not seek shelter under
larger trees. If you are in the water, get out of the water immediately to seek shelter.
During Fire: Find mom and dad, and check if all members in the home are complete
and safe. Act immediately but try to stay calm. Stay low in case of smoke or fumes.
Don't waste time getting dressed or searching for valuables.Do not attempt to
extinguish a fire unless you are trained to do so. To waken anyone who may be asleep,
shout, “Fire! Then call a Fireman.
During Volcanic Eruption: First, Listen for emergency information and alerts.
Follow evacuation or shelter orders. Avoid areas downstream of the eruption. If indoor,
close all windows and doors. Wear longsleeves and long pants. Use googles and dust
