3. “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day” is a celebration that encourages parents and children to frequently
eat dinner together so as to foster simple bonding in the family and promote effective ways for parents
to raise happy, healthy and successful children. It is celebrated every fourth Monday of September every
year in pursuance to the Memorandum of Agreement between the National Committee on the Filipino
Family (NCFF) and the Monde Nissin Corporation (MNC) adopted on August 27, 2008.

As a nursing student taking up Nutrition, your role in this promotional activity is important.
A. For your worksheet # 1, replicate this activity at your own home by scheduling a simple meal together
with your family (maybe breakfast, lunch or dinner) anytime within the week. Capture your meal
together – be sure to include a view of your family gathered together with the meal you have shared.
Formulate a slogan, whether in Filipino or English, related to the importance of sharing a meal together
as a family. The photo of your meal together as a family shall serve as the background of your slogan.

Here are the descriptions of the criteria for grading the poster and slogan:
• Required elements of the picture/graphics: The photo of your meal together as a family and the
meal that you have shared must be present in the poster.
• Visual creativity and appeal the of pictures/graphics: The design and layout of the content must
be neat and easy to understand.
• Message significance: The slogan must be original, catchy and relevant to the topic.
• Content spelling, grammar and punctuation: The slogan doesn’t have any spelling, grammar or
punctuation mistakes.

B. For your worksheet # 2, compose an essay of your poster and slogan. This essay (400-700 words) must
build up an explanation of your poster and slogan.

Here are the descriptions of the criteria for grading the essay:
• Organization of Content: how informative and organized is the content of the essay.
• Quality of writing: concerned with the writing style.
• Spelling, grammar and punctuation use: no error or mistake.
