AN ORDINANCE TEMPORARILY CLOSING TO ALL TYPES
OF VEHICLE HALF LANE OF MARCOS CALO STREET
PARTICULARLY
IN FRONT OF BAYANTEL OFFICE
BUILDING, STARTING JANUARY 13 TO FEBRUARY 28, 2015,
OR UNTIL THE COMPLETION OF THE REPAIR OF ITS
POWER TRANSMISSION, TO ACCOMMODATE THE CARGO
TRUCK LOADED WITH THE POWER GENERATOR SET OF
BAYAN TELECOMMUNICATION, INC., AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES

SECTION 1. TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES. In connection with the ongoing
Bayan Telecommunications, Ine.’s power transmission repair, the half-lane of Marcos Calo
Street, particularly in front of Bayantel office building, is hereby temporarily closed to all
types of vehicle starting January 13 to February 28, 2015 or until the completion of the said
repair, to accommodate the cargo truck loaded with the 350 KVA power generator set that
will give uninterrupted telephone and internet services not only to Butuan City residents but
of the entire Caraga region.
SECTION 2. The Land Transportation and Traffic Management Office (LTTMO),
in coordination with the Bayan Telecommunication, Inc., is hereby directed to see to it that
all the necessary traffic safety signs are properly installed at the abovementioned area prior to
and during the length of the temporary closure for the safety, guidance and convenience of
the public, and shall see to it that at the end of the authorized road closure’s duration, the
closed road portion shall be immediately made open to the passage of vehicles.
Further, Bayantel shall inform the Barangay Council concerned on the said closure
and coordinate with the needed assistance attendant to the closure.
SECTION 3. Any untoward incident, damage or destruction that may occur during
the road closure for failure to comply with Section 2 hereof shall be the sole responsibility of
Bayan Telecommunications, Inc.
SECTION 4. The proponent is required to pay a road closure fee of One Hundred
(P100.00) Pesos per hour of road closure at the City Treasurer's Office.
SECTION 5. PENAL CLAUSE. Any vehicle driver who violates this Ordinance
shall be fined with One Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (1,500.00), aside from shouldering
the cost of damages, if there are any, which the City may impose.
SECTION 6. EFFECTIVITY CLAUSE. This Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon approval.
