Plastic Manmade It can take hundreds or even
thousands of years for plastic to
break down so the
environmental damage is long-
lasting.
Broken glass Manmade It may accidentally harm people
in the community if it is not
properly disposed.
Rubbers Manmade The chemicals in the rubber
leach into the soil and nearby
water sources. Many of these
chemicals, as well as heavy
metals, are dangerous to plants,
soil and aquatic systems.
Measures Solutions
5. How can you lead awareness for such concerns? By educating the community the effect of
pollution in the environment and in our health.
6. What has the government done to control pollution in your area? The LGU provide a garbage
truck that collects the garbage every week.
7. Cite some ordinances, rules, regulation on pollutions in your barangay. (you can get copy from
your barangay officials)
