I. Context and Rationale

Covid-19 Pandemic brought lots of worries and problems of our education

now a days. Many of our learners suffer from boredom and anxiety. This
pandemic hindered us from meeting physical activities. It limited our space, we
are confined in the comfort of our own homes and our life has change drastically
yet it does not make us stops from learning.

The Department of Education in the “new normal” has crafted and

modified learning modalities which would cater the needs of the learners in the
new setting. Distance Learning Modality has been applied, modular, printed
modular, on line and blended was among the scheme that our parents and
learners were to choose from. There are most numbered enrolled in Public from
Private school for some Financial difficulties.

The 21st century learners or Generation X which more active in modern

gadgets. And there is research that using this technology is the most convenient
in delivering the instructional material in learning. But some of our parent’s see’s
the negative impact of this set up. Many of our learners deteriorate their health
and make the learners un able to engage active activities or even in their
modules rather than playing gadget. And the evidence of these are the delaying
in submitting on time of their modules. With this, the researcher creates an
initiative program to answer the need of these learners is address by the
undersigned. An Online and Offline Physical Activities Tutorial to Develop
Interest in learning on Distance Learning Modalities.
II. Research Questions:

The goal of this study is to see if the "SIM and FIT" (Strategic Instructional
Materials and Fun Intervention Tutorial): An Online and Offline Physical Activities
Tutorial to Develop Interest in Learning on Distance Learning Modalities Using
DepEd Gadgets in Asynchronous Learning Modalities is effective.

Specifically, this study will answer the following questions:

1. What was the learners' learning situation before the SIM and FIT were
implemented?
2. What are the implications of modern electronics in the new normal setting after
the SIM and FIT are implemented?
3. What is the difference between the interest in learning using SIM and the FIT
Result based on the submission of updated Modules?

III. Design Intervention:

The goal of this strategy is to pique the student's interest in learning by

utilizing the SIM and FIT programs. These are designed to inspire students to
participate in physical activities while learning in a new environment. The
examination of the program's efficacy is based on their interest progress.
“SIM and FIT” is a program in which MAPEH teachers created a new
learning platform using modern technology, which could be delivered online or
offline. Teachers will develop Strategic Instructional Materials that can be used in
a variety of subject areas. The goals of this program are to promote learners'
interest in learning in all subject areas with fun and pleasure. The importance of
parental oversight and teacher follow-up cannot be overstated. Monitoring the
progress of our students in their studies through home visits and the submission
of updated performance tasks. The most crucial factor in shaping their literacy
development is parental guidance. The school will provide each student with a
SIM and FIT Kit, which will be distributed during the distribution period and
collected during the retrieval period. This is used to keep track of whether or not
a module is being submitted on time.
III. Research Methods:

A. Participants and/or Other Sources of Data and Information

All secondary students at Tagasaka National High School will be taught

using strategic instructional materials. A number of students have been found
who are postponing the submission of their module from SY 2020-2021. This
program's proof base is attendance at submissions and the results of quarterly
performance tasks.

B. Data Gathering Method:

The Grade 7-10 Performance Task or Quarterly Test was used to collect
data. The researcher counted the number of students who were missing or late
with their module submissions. The responses were chosen from among these
students.
After each month, the quarterly Performance Result will be done and the findings
analyzed.

C. Data Analysis Plan

Conducting Parents Orientation on the Use of DepEd Gadgets, as well as

Home Visitation, were some of the stages in carrying out the stated activity,

which included obtaining parental agreement, barangay authorities' approval, the

Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) for COVID -19, and the School Head's approval.

A four-point likert scale will be used to evaluate the Material Kit's

performance. The intervention is said to be successful since the number of

enrolled and identified student-beneficiaries is above average, and students-

beneficiaries are more interested in studying.
