of Europe are some of the countries part of the Global North. They often house the

industrial companies in charge of the production of commodities sent out to the world.

These companies get their resources and workforce from countries like the Philippines

and Mexico. Global South countries have a significant part of their population in the

working-age; they are also rich in raw materials such as minerals and timber. Both sides

benefit from each other. The North buys resources and employs people from the South

for their interests, resulting in economic growth for both.
