and provide an engineering safety report. If the report finds no unsafe issues, case will be closed.

8/30/2021 - I have been in contact with Elliot Katz. a representative for the owners. They have contracted a
structural engineer to inspect the property and are just waiting for their inspection as they are on the inspectors
schedule. I will continue to monitor and wait for the engineers report.

10/12/2021 - Still waiting for the structural engineer to do their inspection and provide a report to us. I have
emailed Elliot Katz just to see where they are at with this process.

11/24/2021 - Mr. Katz has found a contractor but they need to have the engineering done before any repairs
can be determined. I will monitor and keep in touch with Mr. Katz.

12/20/2021 - Stairwell has collapsed and I was told there is a fatality. I was also told that a welding company
had begun repairs, although we have not received the engineers report yet and a permit has not been applied
for. I will assess new damage once FD allows access.

Conditions Status Category

After receiving a complaint and inspecting the parking garage, various areas Not Met Exterior
within the parking garage show signs of deterioration. A safety inspection
performed by a licensed structural engineer will need to be obtained and the
signed and sealed report with the findings will need to be submitted to our
department.

Section 108 UNSAFE STRUCTURES AND EQUIPMENT
108.1.1 Unsafe Structures
An unsafe structure is one that is found to be dangerous to the life, health,
property or safety of the public or the occupants of the structure by not
providing minimum safeguards to protect or warn occupants in the event of
fire, or because such structure contains unsafe equipment or is so damaged,
decayed, dilapidated, structurally unsafe or of such faulty construction or
unstable foundation, that partial or complete collapse is possible.

108.1.5 DANGEROUS STRUCTURE OR PREMISES

Any portion of a building, structure or appurtenance that has been damaged
by fire, earthquake, wind, flood, deterioration, neglect, abandonment,
vandalism or by any other cause to such an extent that it is likely to partially or
completely collapse, or to become detached or dislodged.
