PLANNING

1. Prepare environmental analysis :

( Cikita Surya Wulansari / 1841320021 / 06 )
• Where are we ?

The project we are currently working on is the construction of a

wastewater treatment plant located at the Dr. Regional General Hospital
Mohamad Saleh Probolinggo. This project is located at Jl. D.I Panjaitan
No.65, Sukabumi, Kec. Mayangan, Probolinggo City, East Java 67219. The
person in charge of this project as a planning consultant is CV. Gradien
Triaksa and as a contractor, namely CV. Bolu Agung. The branch office of
CV Gradien Triaksa is in the city of Surabaya while the branch office of CV
Bolu Agung is in Trenggalek Regency. The total wastewater treatment plant
construction project Dr. Mohamad Saleh Probolinggo is 4,760,000.00.
• How and why do we get here ?

To get to the project we use an office car from the CV branch

office. Triaksa gradient located in Surabaya to the project located on
Jl. D.I Panjaitan No.65, Sukabumi, Kec. Mayangan, Probolinggo
City. The travel time we passed was approximately 1 hour 40
minutes when passing the toll road.

And why we came here because we want to build a good wastewater

treatment plant facility needed in this hospital in terms of cost, time
and quality.
2. Set Objectives :
( Wendy Bagus Septian / 1841320049 / 25 )
• Is this where we want to be?
Yes, is it. This place is a target for us because our goals about this
project is the construction of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) RSUD
Dr. MOHAMAD SALEH-Probolinggo
• Where would we like to be?
In this project we will be the planning consultant for the plumbing
section, because we want to create a waste water disposal system that is
efficient and a little friendly to the environment
• In a month?
In the first month of work, we did preliminary work and foundation
work for WWTP reinforcement. however, the foundation work was
completed. In the second month along with sewerage work, sedimentation
tank excavation work, and pretreatment excavation work.
• In a five month?
In the fifth month it is hoped that the work will be completed in
accordance with the planning time schedule, and with maximum results. So
that wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) RSUD Dr. MOHAMAD SALEH-
Probolinggo becomes more organized and a little more environmentally
friendly.
3. List alternative strategies :
( Rochman Nur Amin / 1841320121 / 22 )
• Where will we go if we continue as before?
You can see previous flat projects, for example the IPAL of RSUD
M.saleh Probolinggo City which is working on the big project with several
good methods and can also be used as reference for various other pro
• Is that where we want to go?
There are several foundation methods, namely Pile Foundation,
Bore Pile Foundation, Palm Foundation, Continuous Foundation, Raft
Foundation Contractors will certainly benefit from using this strauss pile
foundation method. With drilling that still uses a manual system, it will save
more costs because it does not use special machines and equipment,
although it is still using a manual system, this type of foundation work is
relatively easy and does not require a long time when compared to river
stone foundations or pit foundations
• How could we get to where we want to go?
First we will go to design apply BIM software add personel and
construction to see construction replace with precast add workers overtime
and build a warehouse buy in stages buy goods with better quality next to
finishing using instant aci cement using a spayer using special workers and
to plumbing incease the number of water pumps move the tank to the top of
the plumbing.
4. List Threat and Opportunities
( Azarine Carissa Yuniar / 1841320187 / 04 )
• What might prevent us from getting there?
Force Majure. Based on the daily report of Wastewater Treatment
Plant Project on RSUD Dr. Mohamad Saleh in Probolinggo City, there is an
indication of force majure, such as raining. Because it is written in the daily
report that the weather is cloudy and if it’s rain, it could make the project on
hold.
Labor / Safety Threats. Based on the documentation of daily report
of Wastewater Treatment Plant Project on RSUD Dr. Mohamad Saleh in
Probolinggo City, there are some workers that didn’t wear safety attributes
such as safety shoes and helmet while operating machine. If they weren’t
careful, this can lead to an accident.

Implementation threats. There might be some threats regarding to

the performance of the project, for example, there’s big difference between
the real S-Curve and the planned S-Curve. But this project so far on its third
week, the real S-Curve is still compatible with the planned S-Curve.

• What might help us to get there?

Based on force majure that might happen, maximize working
overtime, make an alternative work plan and prepare the utilities if it’s
raining and the project is forced to be on hold.
Based on labor/safety threats, things that might help prevent accident
on site to happen are maximize the use of safety attributes, socialization of
how to use the machines properly and safely.
Based on implementation threats, work overtime to increase the
productivity of its labors and to catch up if there’s schedule delay.

5. Prepare forecast :
( Umar Syarief / 1841320109 / 24 )
• Where are we capable to going ?
We assume the project is still running at 30%. Because we have
weather contraints. That’s why we are still digging the installation path.
• What do we need to take us where we want to go ?
If the project work is carried out during the rainy season, the solution
is to immediately provide a concrete work floor.
6. Select strategy portfolio :
( Aditya Ristha Pradana / 1841320147 / 02 )
• What is the best course for us to take ?
One strategy to speed up the process of implementing this
wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) construction project at Dr.
Mohammad Saleh is to apply the right method to the construction of the
bottom structure of the building, that is foundation. Because the foundation
is the most important part of a building and must be carried out first before
building another structure, if the foundation work can be done faster it is
possible that other work will also be carried out soon.

Of the several types of existing foundation manufacturing methods,

the method chosen in the construction of the bottom structure of this hospital
WWTP is to apply a strauss pile foundation because the implementation
process which is considered not so complicated and does not require special
equipment will certainly help in reducing the time needed to work on the
bottom structure. When compared with the use of continuous foundations
made of river stone, caisson foundations or raft foundations where the time
required will also be longer because the excavation required to carry out the
three types of foundations is certainly larger in volume.

In addition, this strauss pile foundation can be done in large

quantities at once, because each point of excavation is not interconnected
with each other so that soil excavation can be carried out at several points
simultaneously at one time. Meanwhile, other workers can also assemble
reinforcing steel and prepare cement mortar so that when all excavations at
each planned point are ready, reinforcement can be applied and continue to
casting. For this reason, the selection of a strauss pile foundation can reduce
the implementation time. In contrast to the continuous foundation of river
stone where excavation must be carried out in stages and the preparation of
the stone time also takes a long time, while the caisson foundation whose
manufacturing process also requires cylindrical precast concrete followed
by in situ casting will certainly require a longer time also in the
implementation process. which is a bit complicated.

Technically, the strauss pile foundation is also very suitable for use
in this hospital WWTP project. The load that will be received by this
foundation will be in the form of a load from the first floor plate with an
area of 26.5 m2, a steel frame structure with a height of 6.5 m and the
volume of water accommodated by a biofiller tank with a total capacity of
about 80000 liters. With building dimensions that are not too large but have
such a large load, the decision to choose to use a strauss pile foundation is
the right choice.

Strauss Pile foundation is a technique for making deep foundations

by drilling manually, the drilling process is fully carried out using human
power using a drill. The application of a strauss pile foundation is
recommended for the construction of building structures that use pile caps.
The function of the pile cap foundation will be strengthened and continued
by the manual strauss pile bore pile foundation to the soil which is deeper
and harder than the soil above.

The increase in the carrying capacity of the basic foundation, of

course, the stronger and stronger the construction of the building, so that the
risk of shifting or subsidence that can damage the construction of the
building can be minimized by using a strauss pile bore pile foundation.

• What are the potential benefits ?

We will certainly benefit from using this strauss pile foundation
method. With drilling that still uses a manual system, it will save more costs
because it does not use special machines and equipment, although it is still
using a manual system, this type of foundation work is relatively easy and
does not require a long time when compared to river stone foundations or
pit foundations. With a relatively fast time in the manufacturing process, it
will certainly save labor and costs too.
The materials used are also very simple and easy to obtain, of course,
because they are only basic materials for reinforced concrete construction
such as sand, cement, gravel, water and reinforcement. With the materials
needed like that, we don't need to think about the budget for the needs of
special materials.
In addition, the application of the strauss pile foundation can also
reduce the need for concrete and dowel reinforcement on the pile cap.
• What are the risks ?
- During the drilling process, soil collapse may occur if precautions are
not taken. If in the implementation there is soil collapse, it will cause the
working time to increase which also has an impact on increasing costs
because there is additional work to dredge the collapsed soil.
- Drilling deep into the ground can cause groundwater to appear and can
hinder the casting process.
- The standard diameter that can be planned is only around 20 cm – 30
cm.
• Solution
- In order to support a large load with a limited strauss pile diameter, it
can be done by installing more strauss piles at the planned points.
- To prevent soil collapse, temporary casing can be installed during the
drilling process.
- To reduce water at the drilling location, prior to casting, draining can be
done first.
7. Prepare actions program :
( Icha Wahyu Styaningrum / 1841320012 / 13 )
• What do we need to do ?
1. Site survey : Site survey is an activity to obtain important information
such as the obstacles to be faced, what method should be used, the
resources available at the project site, the community in the surrounding
environment, the project geography.
2. Site plan : planning the layout of the facilities required during project
implementation. The facilities in question include : direksi keet, material
and tool warehouse, project staff base camp and worker barracks,
project fence,etc.
3. Calculation of resource requirements.
4. Shop drawing : made by engineering, used as a reference for the
implementation of work in the field and has received approval from the
supervisor.
5. Material procurement
6. Equipment mobilization
7. Implementation in the field : starting with making a fixed benchmark
that will be a guide for the next measurement.
• When do we need do it ?
Planning work is carried out after the feasibility study is completed.
Outputs from the planning stage include the project structure and team,
detailed design drawings, scope of work, technical data, project schedules,
worker schedules, material/expenditure schedules, procedures, and other
details.
• How will we do it ?
By forming a competent team to design the building and planning the best
method for constructing it.
• Who will do it ?
Project manager (PM)
8. Monitor and control :
( Nur Rochman Rufaat / 1841320051 / 19 )
• Are we on course ? If not, why?

SHOP DRAWING POSITION OF REAL POSITION OF

FOUNDATION FOUNDATION
• What do we need to do to be on course ?
So by correcting the planning drawing during the as built drawing stage.
• Can we do it ?
Yes, we can do it. the one who does the work is a drafter
