1. Purpose
This document describes grout pouring activities after concreting that shall be carried out as part
of civil works of the STAR Project.
2. Scope
The work scope shall consist of grout pouring activities on the pedestals, equipment foundation
etc.

Equipment shall be visually checked only after valid certificate submittal prior entrance the Site.
Daily Check in accordance with dedicated check list shall be ensured by Supervisors.
5. MANPOWER
All personnel shall be inducted and trained before and during work progress.
During execution the above listed equipment of manpower shall actually be shared with different
locations and different durations as well and values may be subject to changes depending on the
requirements of the project. Specific certificate required for specific role and Occupational
Competency Certificate shall be provided for other workers who have not proper certificate/ HSE
education (Legal Compliance). Support anchorage application will be performed by a dedicated
personnel who trained by the manufacturer of the anchorage system. However, if the above-listed
equipment or manpower proves not sufficient for the timely completion of the facilities and project;
additional shall be provided to complete the works on time and in line with rules, regulations and
specifications.

All required material data sheets, laboratory reports and mill certificates shall be submitted to
Contractor for approval before work commence. MSDS (material safety data sheet) shall be
provided.
7. Execution Of Work
After chipping, adequate shim plates shall be placed by responsible Subcontractors for
leveling steel structures / equipment, prior to grouting. Grout shall be properly filled the
space between chipped concrete surfaces and base plates of steel structure/equipment
erected by responsible Subcontractors.
Concrete surfaces shall be cleaned from any loose particles, dusts and any other contaminants
before grouting.
The concrete surfaces should be pre-soaked with clean water for 2 - 6 hours.
All free water shall be removed from concrete, pockets before pouring grout.

7.2. Formwork
7.3. Grouting
Non-shrink grouts approved by the Contractor shall be used (SikaGrout 212 or similar).
Grout shall be mixed adjacent to the area being grouted. Sufficient manpower, materials and
equipment shall be available for rapid and continuous mixing and placing.
Mixing ratio of grout powder and clean water will be according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Mixing shall be done with suitable mixing equipment (electric mixer) for a min 3 minutes. Mixing
will be continued until a homogenous flowing grout is achieved and until ensuring no unmixed grout
remains.
Application thickness shall comply with manufacturer indications. If required, appropriate gravel
can be added for thicker applications according to manufaturer’s recommendation.
Please also refer approved Material Technical Data Sheets for proper mixing and application of
grout.
Grout shall be poured immediately and continuously after mixing as quickly as possible completely
filling the prepared places between concrete surfaces and base plates.
Grout will be protected/cured by suitable measures such as watering, covering with wet hessian
etc. against rapid water evaporation.

Work clothes, disposable coveralls, gloves, glasses, face shields, and dust mask must be used
during the application.
Avoid from material to contact with skin and eyes and from inhalation.
In case of contacting wash your skin with water and go to doctor immediately.
Fire extinguisher to be available in the working and storage areas.
MSDS Training to be given by Construction Supervisor to all workforce related with job and HSE
Supervisors will assist this training.
Work permit to be taken before work commence.
Prior to commence of work man & machine interference to be evaluated by both responsible
supervisors
