4. An experiment was conducted to study the effect of temperature on the rate of reaction
between 50 cm3 of 0.2 mol dm-3 sodium thiosulphate solution and 5 cm3 of 0.1 mol dm-3
sulphuric acid. Time taken for fixed amount of Sulphur formed is recorded. The
experiment was repeated five times using different temperature of sodium thiosulphate
solution.

6. An experiment was carried out to determine the empirical formula of lead oxide. A
sample of lead oxide was heated in the flow of dry hydrogen gas as shown in Diagram 6.

After heating, the porcelain boat and its content are cooled in the flow of hydrogen and its
mass is recorded. The heating, cooling and weighing processes are repeated until the mass
of the porcelain boat and its contents is constant. The data recorded from the experiment
