Banaag =~ Member The meeting was called to order at exactly 10205 o'clock in the morning. eK * SE ORDINANCE = 854-91 @N ORDINANCE PROHIBITING MOTOR VEHICLES OF ALL SIZES AND SHAPES, INCLUDING TRISICADS, TO PLY OVER THAT PORTION OF A. ‘D. CURATO AVENUE STARTING FROM THE GUNCTION OF P. GOMEZ ST. TO THAT OF DATU SILONGAN DURING CERTAIN PERIODS ON SCHOOL DAYS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES EXPLANATORY NOTE WHEREAS, the General PTA of the Butuan Central Elementary School (BCES), along with concerned citizens, has been requesting this Body to pass a measure that shall, in effect, close vehicular traffic from the junction of P. Gomez St. to the opposite junction along A. D. Curato Avenue from 6200 to 7100 A-M., 11250 to 12230 P.M. and 4230 5230 P.M. during school days; SE Ord. 8%: WHEREAS, this request has been precipitated by the fact that vehicular accidents involving BCES pupils along that portion of the A.D. Curato Avenue as delineated hereof occur every now and then during the time ‘frames specified heretofores WHEREAS, to shun away from further accidents in the future, the need of closing vehicular traffic thereat during the periods herein-above enumerated, appears to be a necessity of the first water, so to speak. NOW, THEREFORE, Upon motion of Honorable Ediseo H. Tidalgo, jointly seconded by Honorable Teofilo @. Pacoty Sr., and Honorable Jose A. Santiago, Sra, Be it ordained by the Honorable Sangguniang fanlunasod 4n session a! na & thats SECTION 1. Moter vehicles of all types, sizes and shapes, including non~powered tricycles, shall be prohibited from plying along that portion of A.D. Curate Avenue. specifically from the corners of P. Gomez and Datu Silongan St., this city, within the following periods during school dayse ay 6200 ~ 7300 Asn. by) 11130 ~ 42830 Fem, ©) 4230 - 8230 PA. «SECTION 2. Te avoid traffic congestion along peripheral thoroughfares, that section of Datu Silongan from corner A.D. Curate Avenue to the intersection of M. Calo St. and Datu Silongan Street is declared "One-Way Street Going East". That span of P. Gomez Street from M. Calo St. to A.D. Curate Avenue is declared "One-Way Street Going West". SECTION 3S. The Traffic Division of the Central Pelice Station is commissioned to install appropriate traffic signs necessary in the implementation hereot. SECTION 4, Any driver or person found violating Bection 1 hereof shall upon conviction be punished by a tine of TWO HUNDRED (P200.00) PESOS or an imprisonment ef not less than TEM (10) DAYS nor more than THIRTY (30) DAYS or both, such fine and imprisonment upon the discretion of the court. SECTION $. This Ordinance amends, modifies or repeals other measures inconsistent hereof. SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect TEN (10) DAYS after its publication. .
