 SYNOPSIS 1

INTRODUCTION
Architecture provides a significant form of shelter for human life. With the vast
population explosion in under developed countries the housing for common people
is unquestionably the biggest job for us. Each dwelling built will enclose a life for a
small group of people, and if we feel that we have failed in the past to provide a fit
setting for these lives then we must try to imagine them fully, both in their
individuality, their family groupings and their larger corporate groupings.

The first problem is to find out the dominant elements in present life
considered fundamentally and to apply these findings to the wider problems
of community planning. Of course, what is true for the individual has its
extension in the larger grouping of individuals.
AIMS and OBJECTIVES : Following are some of the desired outcomes that we
achieve
1. To provide proper accommodation to urban EWS at affordable rates.

2. Maintain socio-cultural environment of the society and find ways to eliminate

the class divide that arises due to bad planning.

3. To keep the maintenance cost of the housing units to the minimum. The
housing should be affordable not just by construction but also by its functioning.

4. To cater to the housing shortage of large metropolitan agglomerations.

5. Reduce the congestion in the metropolitan areas.

LIMITATIONS: The project does not caters about the deep analysis of
structural details as these details are not main aspect of design.teh
project also does not caters about the costing and estimation of the
project because its an academic.

SCOPE : Low-Cost Housing is a new concept which deals with effective

budgeting and following of techniques which helps in reducing the cost
construction through the use of locally available materials along with improved
skills and technology without sacrificing the Strength, Performance and life of
the structure.

DETAILS OF LIGHT HOUSE PROJECT

1. Site is located in Lucknow Nagar Nigam at Nadarganj, Amausi.

2. The proposed site is in two parts measuring a total of 2.266 ha.

Site A : 0.37 ha Site B : 1.896 ha

3. Proposed site is just 3.0 Km from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport and

6.9 km from commercial center.

4. The site is well connected to public transport and electricity distribution network.

5. Facilities of municipal water supply and sewerage are available in close vicinity.

6. The land is almost plain and require minimum earthwork do be done.

7. The site lies in seismic Zone 3 and have humid sub tropical climate.

8. The land use of the proposed site is residential.
