CHAPTER 1 : INTRODUCTION

1.0 INTRODUCTION TO THE BUSINESS

DAS ABDUL GLOBAL SDN BHD was established on 24 February 2016 in Parit Raja, Johor. The business
started from car boot by Tuan Das Abdul with his wife Puan Sapinah Muhammad. Then moved to
Selangor to facilitate business. For a start, they have rented a two-storey terrace to be used as a
residence as well as a store for storing pillow stocks. The ground floor of the house is used as a storage
place for pillows and the upper part is where they sleep.

After a year of operating at home, DAG began renting warehouses to store stock and began adding
working staff. Now, after two years in the hotel pillow business, DAG has become an industry leader in
the hotel pillow business in Malaysia and has received extensive coverage in magazines, television, radio
and newspapers.

With over 800 registered sales representatives, DAG continues to grow and constantly improve in terms
of marketing, management, and systems to make it easier for sales representatives to get stock and
make sales. DAG now has a warehouse operating in Semenyih that can hold over 50,000 pillows at a
time and has won the START-UP ENTERPRENUER AWARD in BANGKOK.
2.0 ENTREPRENEUR BACKGROUND

CEO - Chief Executive Officer

Tuan Das Abdul was born in Negeri Cik Siti Wan Kembang, Kelantan Darul Naim and has a Degree in
Civil Engineering, Tun Hussein Onn University (UTHM). Upon graduation, Tuan Das Abdul began serving
as a Civil Engineer in construction a resort and training center in Kelantan.

Began to get stuck in the hospitality field when he was at offer to be the Manager to the resort. Has over
8 years experience.Married to Mrs. Sapinah Muhammad who is also the COO of Das Abdul Global Sdn
Bhd in 2012 and owned by two people baby. After starting the DAG hotel pillow business, Mr. Das decided
to study with Mentor Marketing No. 1 in Asia, Doctor Azizan Osman and his is one of DOC Azizan's
successful protégés achieve the most progress as well as business results fast. Mr. Das is also one of
the participants Inner Circle Premier under Richworks company.

COO – Chief Operation Officer

Mrs. Sapinah Muhammad is the COO and wife to Tuan Das Abdul. Born on November 24th 1985 in Tanah
Merah Kelantan. Has a degree in field of civil engineering Tun Hussein Onn University (UTHM). He began
to gain early work experience at a contractor company in Kuala Lumpur as Civil engineer. After marrying
Tuan Das Abdul in 2012, he started living in Kelantan and assist Tuan Das Abdul in the management
business hotels as well as resorts. Apart from experience as an engineer as well as hotel management.

Puan Sapinah also has more than 5 years of experience in the direct sales business which helps a lot he
is in the business management of Das Abdul Global now. Mother to these two children is always positive
and committed in carrying out her duties as a wife, mother as well became the backbone of Das Abdul
Global Sdn Bhd
2.1 PROPOSED OF BUSINESS PLAN

1. To produce DAG entrepreneurs who are knowledgeable and competitive hotel goods business
in Malaysia.
2. Assist people in getting such sleeping comfort five star hotel in your own home.
3. Help DAG entrepreneurs achieve financially independent goals as well get a better economic
status.
4. Develop the DAG hotel pillow market throughout Asia.
5. Produce millionaires among DAG entrepreneurs.

The purpose of this business plan is prepared to present the business plan of Das Abdul Global Sdn Bhd
more clearly which covers the management, marketing and financial aspects of the business, namely:

• As a guideline for managing the business so that the business can achieve the company's set objectives.

• Create an effective plaing approach to advancing the company.

• Examine all risks that will be faced in order to reduce the possibility of business failure.

• Identify any weaknesses in the business and plan a way to overcome them.

• Can be used as a tool to promote products produced by an organization.

2.2 HOW DID HE START THE BUSINESS ?

Business starts from car boot by Tuan Das Abdul with his wife Puan Sapinah Muhammad. Then moved
to Selangor for facilitate business dealings. For a start, they have rented a two -story terrace to make a

2.3 WHAT ARE THE FACTORS WHICH LEAD TO THE CREATETION OF BUSINESS ?

Upon graduation, Tuan Das Abdul began working as a Civil Engineer in the construction of a resort and
training center in Kelantan. Began to get stuck in the hospitality field when he was at offer to be the
Manager to the resort. Has over 8 years of experience. After starting the DAG hotel pillow business, Tuan
Das decided to study with the No. 1 Marketing Mentor in Asia, Doctor Azizan Osman and he was one of
the students successful of Dr. Azizan. Mr. Das is also one of the Titanium Premier under the Richworks
company. At first, my business was not as easy as I thought because I left my comfort zone and decided
to quit my job as a Civil Engineer. From there I acted to attend the Richworks program in order to empower
this pillow business. Puan Sapinah Muhammad is the Co-Founder and wife of Tuan Das Abdul. After
marrying Tuan Das Abdul in 2012, she started living in Kelantan and helped Tuan Das Abdul in the hotel
and resort management business. Apart from experience as an engineer as well as hotel management.
The mother of two is always positive and committed in carrying out her duties as a wife, mother and the
backbone of Das Abdul Global Sdn. Bhd.

The target group for Das Abdul Global Sdn.bhd business is all residents around Semenyih, Selangor.
The main target group of this business is comprised of the surrounding population and from the hospitality
sector. The products that Das Abdul Global Sdn.bhd offers are of high quality and are expected to satisfy
their tastes.

3.4 MANAGEMENT STRATEGY

Good and systematic methods of business management and staffing are essential in advancing the
business. Therefore, DAS ABDUL GLOBAL SDN BHD has arranged several management strategies as
follows :

i. Instill a spirit of teamwork among all divisions for mutual benefit


ii. Providing guidance to employees can demonstrate good work performance as well as
related to the assigned task
iii. Each party whether employees or management always discuss and give opinions and

The distribution method used by Das Abdul Global Sdn Bhd is to place employees to make sales
promotions and distribute leaflets to customers and paste posters about Das Abdul Global company as
well as create a blog about DAS for public knowledge of Das Abdul Global Sdn Bhd company.

The products or services that Das Abdul Global Sdn Bhd offers to customers are very high quality and
commensurate with the price. Das Abdul Global's business also keeps abreast of the latest technological
developments and customer requirements so that Das Abdul Global's products and services always

4.0 ENTREPRENEUR BEFORE STARTING THEN VENTURE

4.0.1 WORKING EXPERIENCE

Das Abdul was an engineer who once lost his job, but now he is a millionaire entrepreneur
pillow “seven start hotel”.

He was once selected as the recipient of the 11th edition of the Malaysia superbrand award
2019 among 28 other local brands.

Started as an engineer after graduating from tun Hussein onn university (uthm) with a degree in
engineering, he decided to leave the carrer due to financial problems he faced at the time, the
hardships he experienced were excruating if you think about it. He was also once involved in resort
construction and training center in Kelantan. He then began to get stuck in the hospitality field when he
was get an offer to be the Manager to the resort. He has over 8 years of experience in this field

At the urging of life, Das Abdul started a small business in car boots, with his intention and
passion to help more people to get the best and most comfortable pillows, now his brand pillows have
been in high demand from Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and Singapore. Its sales have also exceeded
RM 1 million.

4.0.2 ROLES MODEL

Mr. Das Abdul decided to study with No. 1 Marketing Mentor in Asia, Dr. Azizan Osman and
he is one of the students of Dr. Azizan who managed to achieve the fastest progress and business

4.0.3 ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITIES

DAS ABDUL GLOBAL SDN BHD is a company that produces pillow products, this company has
produced many types of pillows with different qualities. Among the types, types of pillows produced by
the global company Das are, H-Classic, Hclass Pro, H-Class PR, and Polyester PhD. There are 3 ways
Das companies do entrepreneurial activities are.

Operations

The company operates in a pillow factory from Monday to Saturday but the working hours are
from Monday to Friday at 9:00 am-6:00pm while on Holy Day from 9:00 am-2:00pm. This Das global
company is very concerned about the working hours of the workers in the factory because for Tuan Das
abdul every employee needs to get enough rest and have good energy to do their jobs. Employee health
is very important to produce more Das products in the market. Therefore, the working hours given to
employees are very affordable. Every activity carried out at Tuahn Das's factory will also join together
with other subsidiaries to work together to create a company that is known throughout Asia.

Investments

Before the success of the global Das Abdul company, they only traded in car boots because they
had just started introducing the Das Abdul brand which was unknown to the community. After a few
months Mr. Das has made an investment by producing more Das products globally in the market and
finally their bntal can be successfully sold as many as 500,000. In just 3 years, they have had more than
2,000 agents nationwide. Apart from that, Das Abdul's company has also made investments in Malaysia
by helping low -income communities who want to trade in Das Abdul pillows by issuing very low capital
to help increase the income of their needy families. Finally, Dsa Abdul's investment has also expanded
to three countries, namely Indonesia, Singapore, and Brunei.

Financing

Das Abdul's company's service is to supply pillows like a 7 -star hotel that is very fluffy and has
excellent functionality. The Das Andul Global pillow is produced by Das company with a reasonable and
affordable price, not only a reasonable price but also the quality of the material used in the jugs. Das
Abdul Company also provides good service to local and foreign buyers and suppliers. Every purchase
made by their customers will enrich what Das company needs to improve their products for customers
and Das Abdul company is also always positive in taking customer opinion to further improve Das Abdul
products to be more popular with customers and introduced again in several Asian countries.
4.0.4 INTENTION OF BEING ENTREPRENEUR (AT WHAT AGE)

The idea came after he read a post from Dr. Azizan Osman who is also Asia’s No. 1 marketing mentor,
gave information to trade what was on hand at that time, and only pillow was in his hand. So, from that,
his intention of being entrepreneur has start. He was desperate to start a business by selling Das Global
pillows by issuing little capital and trading in car boots at first.

5.0 PRIMARY MOTIVATION TO START UP

Many people believe that if you want to do business and have sales of millions, there must be a big cable,
the business needs to be big. There needs to be a great brand. This is what most people believe. Want
to build a big business, it needs to come from a big sources – big too. But, Das Abdul who used to work
as an engineer and is now a millionare just by selling pillows.

The pressure of life made him igrate from his homeland and start living in the south of the homeland.
Unfortunately, without a stable income, his life and that of his family became uncertain. He was looking
for a way to make an income until one day he watched Dr Azizan Osman’s video.

Said Dr Azizan Osman “ start with what is in hand” and at the same time he was hugging a pillow and he
continue to take the plunge to trade pillows.

Seems simple, sell pillows only, but the process, is not as easy one might think, especially when there is
no knowledge. In the first month, Mr. Das Abdul was only able to sell 20 pillows a month from car boot
sales. He didn’t want to see his wife having to go to the trouble of selling pillows while carrying a child
caused him to be determined to attend the richworks program.

That’s the story of the last few years. He began setting foot into the Richworks prohram in 2016.
Commited and consistenly present to each program. Mr. Das Abdul attended the first millionaire
marketing mastery program. At that time, he was busy hugging a pillow. It is the pillow that is carried
upstream to downstream throughout the program. Then, as the master took the super supreme package,
he went to a coaching session specially prepared for the participants of the super supreme package.

At each session, be sure to take the opportunity to ask questions, and we see the improvement of Mr.
Das Abdul in every coaching session. Starting from car boot sales, Mr. Das Abdul started building a
business empire. Adents and stokes began to proliferate, he began to face various other problems in the
business. But, it can be handled because he is always present to the richworks program.
5.1 SETTING ANY GOALS WHILE YOU SET UP THE BUSINESS ? I YES WHAT IT IS ?

Yes, Das Abdul’s current goal of setting up his business is that Das Abdul wants to produce many more
entrepeuners under his supervision and wish them all success like him.

Other goals for business is Mr. Das Abdul is he wants to produce quality and comfortable pillow products
for all the bedroom furniture users in Malaysia. The quality of these applied pillow product is that it is easy
to wash, very soft, durable, anti-allergic and not hot.

Most special, this seven – star pillows not rotten and flabby if trapped by moisture dust and so on. Indeed
in accordance with their tagline which is “Sleep Like A King”

In product to improve the quality of his products, Das Abdul has placed a seven-star name in conjunction
with a very high quality product as if it were a seven – star hotel, as well as the service provided by them
is also very high quality.

5.2 RESOURCES THAT AVAILABLE BEFORE START UP

Das Abdul did not have any resources available before he started the business. Instead, he only sought
knowledge by attending several business seminars that had been held. From there, he began to see the
horn movements of every successful trader until he began to think of a member of the trader carrying
their sales product. Next, he opened a small move to do business. With the knowledge that he possessed,
Das Abdul began to apply more efficient marketing with the aim of Das Abdul doing so in the hope that
his business would be better known among the community.

5.3 ANY NETWORKING

Das Abdul studied with Dr Azizan in IMKK class. In the IMKK class, it is also life-changing. Da Abdul is
in a better direction, namely Das Abdul’s business is progressing every year. Dr Azizan also once
instructed Das Abdul that he should be the best human being who benefits others and also if you want
to succeed you need to practice the attitude of helping people first and also don’t forget to give alms.

5.4 CONTROLLING AT EARLY STAGE OF BUSINESS, SERIOUS OR NOT ?

Das Abdul is very serious in running his pillow business from the beginning to successfully reaching the
stage where Das Abdul's business is known on the world stage. when Das Abdul first started it at an early
stage, Das Abdul started a car boot sales business with a total sale of only 20 pillows. Das Abdul is
determined to change his family's life. Das Abdul did not give up by just being on the same level. After
his sales pillows began to gain popularity in the market, Das Abdul began to expand his sales products
little by little to become the No. 1 brand in Asia. Das Abdul began to work by producing pillows that were
different from others so that the pillows he sold could provide satisfaction to consumers like pillows ‘Hotel
Tujuh Bintang’.

5.5 RISK ORIENTATION AT EARLY START UP ?

Das Abdul’s risk at the beginning of the business was that he was once cheated by night market traders.
This caused Das Abdul to despair in business, plus the budget owned by Das Abdul was declining.In
addition, the start of Das Abdul selling its products at the night market did not sell and had to take time
to spend on one – one day.

5.6 BUSINESS PLAN

In my opinion, Das Abdul can plan to further expand his sales products through the mass media.
Nowadays, it is the age of advanced technology where all the information is at your fingertips. With this,
can help Das Abdul to further develop sales products by conveying important information about the
products sold through the mass media. For example, facebook Instagram, youtube, twitter, whatsapps
and so on are the applications that most people use right now. Therefore, the information to be conveyed
is very easy and fast. It is a great loss if you do not use this advanced technology in the right way. Not
only that, it can also provide many benefits to users if they know how to use it properly. In this way, people
will begin to know or realize the process of the products produced by Das Abdul are very high quality at
the price offered to consumers. Apart from that, Das Abdul can also open new markets in more potential

Tuan Das Abdul is not a student with an education in business but he is a student with an
education in engineering. Tuan Das Abdul ventured into business after attending a business course. He
ventured into business to change the fate of the family, Tuan Das Abdul was willing to quit his job and
start a business with his wife, Puan Sapinah Muhammad.

Based on our group study, Company DAS Abdul Global Sdn. Bhd. Is a very developed company
and known to many people. Das Global's products are very popular not only in the country but also abroad
such as Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore. Das Abdul Global Company's Pillow Products have marketed
more than 13 types of pillows. Subsequently, Syarikat Das was also given the Malaysian Superbrand
Award 2019. Therefore, we as a group strongly believe that the company we selected for the
Entrepreneur Subject study is very accurate and suitable.

What we can learn from this entrepreneur is that every sacrifice made will bring many benefits
and goodness not only to yourself but also family members also feel the benefits because of the sacrifices
made by Tuan Das Abdul and his wife.

Not only that we can also learn that everyone can make a business at once successful in
business if there is self -confidence to succeed in business.

Further, we also learned that every business ventured will experience difficulties in the early
stages of the business and when it has been a long time in business then the product produced will
provide a profit to the company itself.

Finally, we can learn how to start a business by producing sales products in small quantities
when the product is popular in the market then the company can produce sales products in the market
little by little until it is known in Asia.
The success of Das Abdul Global Company in the hotel pillow business has made the company
known in three countries, namely Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore. The company has been supplying
pillows to hotels who want their products at affordable prices and providing very satisfactory service to
customers.

There are several factors that make their company's brand popular in the three countries is that
they adopt a tolerant attitude. Das Company will precede every desire of customers who want to buy their
products or those who just want to know the products they produce by providing excellent service. Das
