Action Plan

Goal: Give Brighton High students better access to mental health support.

Objectives:
1. Have Brighton hire a full time therapist or similar person with actual experience dealing with teenagers and their mental health issues.

2. Have said therapist or a team of professionals teach students, teachers, and possibly parents about what the signs of certain mental issues
are. Teachers will also get even more training so they can recognize if a student is struggling and how to help. Counselors should also get a lot

3. Integrate social-emotional learning into classes, possibly in flex. This will teach students anger management, empathy, and understanding
emotions.
