• He is recognized as the “Father of Modern Chinese
Architecture”. Princeton University, which awarded him an honorary
doctoral degree in 1947
• Liang authored the first modern history on Chinese architecture, and he
was the founder of the Architecture Department of Northeastern
University in 1928 and Tsinghua University in 1946. 
• He was the Chinese representative of the Design Board which designed
the United Nations headquarters in New York City

What is pevilion of price teng

The Pavilion of Prince Teng is a


building in the north west of the city
of Nanchang, in Jiangxi province,
China, on the east bank of the Gan
River and is one of the Three Great
Towers of southern China. The
other two are the Yueyang Tower
and the Yellow Crane Pavilion.
The present Pavilion of Prince Teng was built according to the design of
architect Liang Sicheng, and was completed on 8 October 1989; now a
landmark of Nanchang. The building is of reinforced concrete, but decorated
in Song Dynasty style.

Erected in 653 AD, this 9-story structure has been repeatedly rebuilt more
than 2 dozen times

prince tian renowned buildings in Chinese
history, thanks to the poet Wang
Bo (649–676). It is situated near
the confluence of the Gan and
Yangzi Rivers in Jiangsi Province.

Pavilion of Prince Teng, aka
Tengwang Pavilion is located on the
shore of the Kan, in Nanchang City,
Jiangxi Province.
 Together with Yellow Crane Tower,
Yueyang Pavilion (Yueyang Lou), this
fine building is one of the three most
notable pavilions on south side of the
Yangtze River.

The pavilion reaches
a height of around 60
meters with a floor space
of 13,000 square meters,
the main pavilion aside
there are two
separate pavilions that
flank either side of the
central pavilion; much of
the structure is carved
out of wood with tiled
walls painted green in
typical Song Dynasty
style.The building has a
total floor area of 13,000
square metres.
