1.0 Purpose:
1.1 To provide a set of guidelines in accepting members of the Environmental, Health and Safety
Committee.
1.2 To define certification standards and membership disqualification.
1.3 To define entitlement of incentives/benefits that had been given by the company and others that
may be given in the future.
2.0 Scope:
2.1 It is a company policy that the EHS Committee will be a voluntary organization in Treasure
Island Industrial Corporation and certification for acceptance will be limited to the standards set
in this policy including the benefits given and to be given to its members as incentives.
2.2 This also covers the mandatory membership of the Environmental, Health and Safety group,
Occupational Health Nurses and Security Force
4.2.1 Any member who wishes to terminate his voluntary service from the EHS Committee
may do so and in good faith formally files a letter of resignation and submit to the EHS
Committee Chairman copy his department/section manager.
4.2.2 He/She however shall continue to serve the organization for 30 days after receipt of his
notification to resign.
4.3 Incentives and Privileges
4.3.1 In recognition of his efforts and sense of obligation in accident prevention, the
company will grant the following incentives and benefits to a member:
4.3.1.1 Overtime pay if he/she is attending an EHS meeting/training/drill/activity/audit
outside his/her working hours.
4.3.1.2 Free meal if she/he attends meeting/training/drill/activity/audit outside his/her
working hours.
4.3.1.3 Treated to an annual Get Together Party
4.3.1.4 Annual EHS Committee T-shirt incentive or any kind of same value.
4.4 The EHS Committee Chairman shall submit an accurate listing of EHS Committee members
to HR annually, as a minimum or when changes in composition.
4.5 The EHS Committee shall conduct quarterly audits as defined in EHS-04 EHS Compliance
Audits.
4.6 The EHS Committee shall conduct a HIRARC on each process they represent and update the
document once a year as defined in EHS-0003.
4.7 The EHS Committee member shall conduct an investigation reported to him/her and
document the issue using the incident report HRD-36 Incident Report (Property Damage).
4.8 The EHS Committee shall conduct monthly meeting and discuss current EHS related issues
based from the incident reports or concerns that of needs immediate action reported by other
department.
4.9 The EHS Committee Chairman shall submit on quarterly basis the reports on audits
consolidated to be presented during the EMS Management review.
5.0 Attachment
5.1 The EHS Manager shall see be responsible for implementing the policy.
5.2 The EHS Manager shall be responsible for initiating revisions as the need arises.
