TITLE: Training-Workshop on Instructional Design Tools


for Distance Learning

PARTICIPANTS: There are four (4) topics for this training workshop that will be delivered
simultaneously with 15 participants per topic.
The training-workshop will cater to all interested faculty members from all
the colleges in the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-South
La Union Campus. The training-workshop will be open to those who wish
to familiarize themselves with the different software tools and implement
these in their classes.

RATIONALE:

Educational institutions worldwide, have unexpectedly faced the immediate need to shift the teaching-learning
environment online amid the current global pandemic. This training-workshop is designed to introduce and review
the use of software tools for teachers who wish to present their topics in multiple media, specifically, through
audio, videos and interactive and collaborative media. The topics will also cover the design, development,
rendering and online publication of these materials.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES:

At the end of this training-workshop, participants will be able to:


1. expand the teachers’ access to software tools which can help them develop and publish digital teaching
materials;
2. familiarize themselves with the environment and tools in MS Powerpoint, Wondershare Filmora,
Audacity and Google Classroom; and,
3. increase teaching efficiency through a mostly paperless classroom and organizing activities and means of
communication

METHODOLOGY:

The training-workshop will be in a Face-to-Face setup with lecture, demonstration and hands-on learning. Lecture,
demonstration and hands-on learning will be used in the training-workshop. For four (4) day duration of the
training, the participants will have to attend a topic per day as parallel sessions will take place in different venues.
Participants are also encouraged to bring their own device.
