Description

On 24th February 2022 at about 16 25 hrs., Mr. Jeff (Carpenter) doing shuttering work for column footing of foundation
meant for worker accommodation block –K at AFCONS CAMP, Yekepa. During nailing the shutter with the hammer,
hammer slips from his hand and fell very near where the other workers were working nearby. No injury.

On investigating, the same carpenter didn’t wear PPE (cotton hand gloves) during the execution of work which he kept in
his pocket instead. Risk assessment has been already filled and communicated for this specific job.

Note: This near miss has a potential of severe injury to the personnel.
