BRIGADA ESKWELA 2021

 “Community cannot stand without the school, and likewise the school without the

community.”

As stipulated in DepEd through Memorandum No. 70, s. 2007 also known as

National Schools Maintenance Week or the Brigada Eskwela, which aims to prepare

schools for the influx of students with the Theme “Bayanihan Para Sa Paaralan”.

The brigada eskwela is a time when teachers, students, and other stakeholders

can come to school to demonstrate and manifest their spirit of volunteering, unity, and

feeling of urgency by fixing whatever needs to be fixed and cleaning whatever needs to

be cleaned. As a result, students will have a conducive environment for a meaningful

year of learning experiences.

DepEd formally launched “BRIGADA ESKWELA 2021” from August 3 to 30,

2021 in all public elementary and high schools nationwide. The primary aim of the

program is to prepare the whole school community for another school year. Therefore, it

is given emphasis as a weeklong maintenance week in all public schools here in

General Santos City as preparation for the opening of classes. However, since learning

is a never-ending process, Brigada Eskwela serves as well a whole year-round school

activity. Anent to this, everyone as part of the community can take part in securing the

schools safety for all and ensuring a conducive learning environment for every student

to achieve the meaningful learning experiences.
