Lesson 5: Exemplary Values That Spell Success (Core Values)

Core Values
- The clearly stated principles about the organization's vision, mission, and principles.
- Are also set of fundamental beliefs, ideals or practices that inform how you conduct
your life.
- It is either a fundamental beliefs of a person or organizations.

Here are some examples of Core Values:


1. Integrity
 The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.
 Also refer to the truthfulness or accuracy of one’s action.
 Having integrity in business means operating your organization
consistently in accordance with a strong set of moral values and
principles.
 It is also the foundation on which coworkers build relationship and trust
for they find you reliable and easy to work with
2. Accountability
 The acceptance of responsibility of one’s own actions.
 State of being responsible in every action you have done.
 Accountability in business is all about ownership and clarity. Ownership
begins with accepting the responsibility of a project or a task from
reception to outcome. Clarity is making sure that the employees clearly
understand what the company is really trying to achieve.
3. Creativity
 It encompasses the ability to discover new and original ideas, connections
and solutions to the problem.
 Presentation of new ideas and generate more concepts.
 Creativity is what fuels businesses to generate big ideas, challenges
employees’ way of thinking, opens door to new opportunities that
creates new product or services available to the market.
4. Respect
 An act of showing appreciation for someone’s traits or qualities.
 The ability to value and honor another person.
 Employees respect can be shown by valuing opinions and treating each
employee as equal.
5. Boldness
 Willingness to take risks and act innovatively.
 Lack of hesitant or fear in taking risks and having the courage to face that
consequences.
 Being bold in business is shown when you believe in yourself or in the
product you are selling, being unafraid to take risks in investments, trying
new marketing strategies and deciding for your company.

Key Points:

 These values should be observed not just in the workplace but should be
observed everywhere to promote harmony and create a positive working
environment while being productive.
 These values are key component of a healthy workplace because they clarify
how your organization and its staff should behave.
 Core values support the company's vision and shape its culture.
