AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL SEQUENCE OPERATION OF

MONTRELEC SM708 ATS CONTROLLER

FOR AUTOMATIC OPERATION:


 PRESS AUTO
- Make sure that the Source 1 or Source 2 is available.
- For Source 1, make sure that the Source 1 indicator light is “on”. If it is not
connected to the load, it will automatically transfer the Source 1 Breaker to the
common load.
- When there’s a power interruption, or some abnormalities in the Source 1 like
over voltage or under voltage, the ATS Controller will automatically trigger
the Genset Load and then transfer the load to Source 2 (Genset).
- When the Source 1 goes normal, the Source 1 indicator light will stop blinking,
it will be permanently “on” when there is no interruption or abnormalities in
the power source and it will automatically transfer the load from Emergency
(Genset) to Source 1 (Normal).
- When the power source is successfully transferred from Source 2 (Emergency)
to Source 1 (Normal) the cool down of the genset goes next.

Reminders:
- When there are some power interruptions from the Source 1 (Normal), it will
always indicate on the ATS Controller.
- In Auto Operation, always turn on the miniature circuit breaker of the ATS
Controller.

Reminders:
- There are two options when the ATS Controller is in Manual Mode/Operation
#1 – Manual Operation from ATS Controller
#2 – Manual Operation of the Source 1 and Source 2 Circuit Breakers.
#1: Manual Operation from ATS Controller
- Press Manual Button (with Hand Sign) on the ATS Controller
- When transferring to Source 1 manually, make sure that the Source 1 is
available, just press the “C/O” (Close/Open) button to close and to open the
breaker.

Reminders:
 If the Source 1 does not close, check the breaker of the Source 2.
If it is closed, the operator can press the “C/O” (Close/Open)
button of the Source 2 to open the breaker of Source 2. And then
try again to press the “C/O” (Close/Open) button of the Source
1 Circuit Breaker.

- When transferring to Source 2 manually, make sure that the Source 2 (Genset)
is available, just press the “C/O” (Close/Open) button to close and to open the
breaker.

Reminders:
 If the Source 2 does not close, check the breaker of the Source 1.
If it is closed, the operator can press the “C/O” (Close/Open)
button of the Source 2 to open the breaker of Source 1. And then
try again to press the “C/O” (Close/Open) button of the Source
2 Circuit Breaker.

#2: Manual Operation of the Source 1 and Source 2 Circuit Breakers


- Press manual button (with hand sign) on the ATS Controller
- The operation will be the same with #1 Manual Operation but it is direct on the
circuit breakers, just follow the steps in #1 manual operation.
MANUAL OPERATIONS OF THE FOLLOWING CIRCUIT BREAKERS:
 LVSG-1
 LVSG-2
 LANDCO 1
 LANDCO 2

SOURCE 1 AVAILABLE
- Turn off LVSG-1, LANDCO 1 and LANDCO 2
- Then Turn on LVSG-2
Reminders:
In Source 1, the only circuit breaker that needs to be turned on is the LVSG-2.

SOURCE 2 AVAILABLE
- Turn off LVSG-2
- Then first turn on the LVSG-1, second the LANDCO 1 and LANDCO 2
