ANALYSIS

Give at least three characteristics that may be observed from each of the three measures of
central tendency.
A. Mean

1. 1)  Mean is the average value

2. 2)  The sum of deviation from mean is always equal.
3. 3)  It may be calculated even when individual values are unknown, provided the sum

of the values and sample size are unknown.

B. Median

1. 1)  It is the most middle value of an arranged data.

2. 2)  It’s also equal to quarter 2.
3. 3)  Less affected by the outliers.

C. Mode

1. 1)  It is the most frequent value in distribution.

2. 2)  It has different kinds of model distribution such as unimodal, bimodal and

multimodal.

3. 3)  It requires the value to be in an arranged in group in order to compute it.

Draw and properly label the measures of central tendency of the following:

MEAN MEDIAN MODE

SYMMETRICAL DISTRIBUTION
MEDIAN MODE MODE MEAN
MEDIAN MEAN
POSITIVELY SKEWED DISTRIBUTION

BUSINESS STATISTICS QUIZ No. 4 (Measures of Location)

Date:Sept. 29, 2021

Score: _______

Instructions:As college students, write legibly. Correct spelling is a must. Numbers and graphs
should be written clearly so as not to avoid confusion. Follow the specified instructions; failure
to do so would mean incorrect. Promotion of general welfare / helpfulness / kindness / charity /
teamwork / cooperation / class unity or whatever terminology you have there to cover up
CHEATING is NEVER ALLOWED. Once caught, a beaming 5.0 on this exam is imminent on
the records. Don’t forget to write the date when you took this exam. God Bless and Good luck!!!
I. PROBLEM SOLVING. Do not round - off until the final answer. Round – off your final
answers as to what the problem calls for. Failure to follow this instruction renders the whole
answer as incorrect. Put the final answers in the space provided.
