Purpose of WHS training session-

According to The Australian Government, Work Health and Safety (WHS), or sometimes known as
Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), promotes and functions to ensure the prevention of accidents and
incidents within a work environment. WHS looks to safeguard the health and safety of all employees, as well
as anyone who participates in a business’s operations including customers, visitors, and suppliers.
So in this training session we will discuss the importance of WHS.

We will cover the following topics in the session-

Information detailing the WHS laws, policies, and methods of reporting incidents to every employee

Safe work practices and procedures – These provide guidance to business on how to fulfil their duty to provide
a safe and healthy workplace.

Workplace accidents, injury or impairment – Unexpected events that cause physical harm or damage to
people or property.
