Research Title: THE EFFECTS OF THE COMMUNITY QUARANTINE FOR

UNEMPLOYED CITIZENS OF PUROK PHASE 1

Sample Population: 10 Unemployed Citizens of Purok Phase 1

Data Collection Procedure: Interview

Question 1: Are you a College Graduate, Highschool Graduate, or Elementary

Graduate?

In question number one, 60% of the Unemployed Citizens of Purok Phase 1 are

College Graduate while 30% are Highschool Graduate and lastly, only 10% are

Elementary Graduate.

The figure above indicates that most of the citizens of Purok Phase 1 are College

Graduate and prioritize education more.

Question 2: How long you have been unemployed?

Based on the data gathered, 4 out of 10 Citizens of Purok Phase 1 have been

unemployed for more than a year while 6 out of 10 have been unemployed for less

than a year.

The data showed that the 6 out of 10 Unemployed Citizens of Purok Phase 1

were cut from their last job during this community quarantine and the 4 out of 10 did

not state the reason why they were unemployed for more than a year.
Question 3: Have you been in a job before?

There are 70% of the Unemployed Citizens of Purok Phase 1 had job

experiences while the 30% of the Unemployed Citizens of Purok Phase 1 never been

in a job before.

The interview result shows that the 30% of Unemployed Citizens of Purok

Phase 1 are fresh graduate from senior highschool. They graduated during this

COVID-19 pandemic that is why it is difficult for them to look for a job.
Question 4: As of now, are you open for starting a business or apply for a job?

Based on the representation of question number 4, only 3 out of 10

Unemployed Citizens of Purok Phase 1 are open for starting a business and 7 out of

10 are still looking for a job.

The 7 out of 10 Unemployed Citizens of Purok Phase 1 are one call away on

any job available just to have food to feed their families. The 3 out of 10 are open for
starting a business because they have saved money and from the beginning they are

eyeing for starting a business and they think this is a perfect timing.

Question 5: Since you have been unemployed during this community quarantine, how

does it impact your life and your family?

In the last question, all of the Unemployed Citizens of Purok Phase 1 answered

Extremely Affected.
 They are affected physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. The COVID-

19 pandemic hit them hard, they are hoping and praying that this nightmare stops and

the world will back to normal.
