ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to (1) determine the effects of social media (2) identify the
profile of the students in terms of Age, Sex, Family Size, Family Income, time spent, gadgets
used, and Social Media sites; and (3) How can Social Media affects to the following: a .self-
relationship; This study utilized qualitative method, case study research design; and the sample
are 113 respondents who uses social media of more than 2 hours. The result of the study shows
that social media has a very strong impact on self-confidence of individuals. The importance of
the research are the students who uses social media in 2 hours and 33 minutes having a negative
