A graduate of BS in Management Accounting should be able to:


1. Resolve business issues and problems, with a global and strategic perspective using
knowledge and technical proficiency in the areas of financial accounting and reporting,
cost accounting and management, accounting and control, taxation, and accounting
information systems;
2. Conduct accountancy research through independent studies of relevant literature and
appropriate use of accounting theories and methodologies;
3. Employ technology as a business tool in capturing financial and non-financial information,
generating reports and making decisions;
4. Apply knowledge and skills to successfully respond to various types of assessments
(including professional licensure and certifications); and

Course Requirements

Management as a field of study and as a central
management function.
3. Understand the role Human Resource Management
plays in the success of the organization;
4. Understand the implications for human resource
management of the behavioral sciences, government
regulations, and court decisions;
5. Know the elements of the HR function (e.g. –
recruitment, selection, training and development, etc.)
and be familiar with each element’s key concepts &
terminology; and

6. Apply the principles and techniques of human resource


management gained through this course to the
discussion of major personnel issues and the solution of
typical case problems.

Course Description:

Human Resource Management can be defined as the effective use of human capital in an
organization through the management of people-related activities. Topics include leadership,
values, employment planning, recruiting and selecting employees, training and compensating
them, and evaluating their performance.

Human capital. It’s a term that speaks volumes about modern business. In just two words it
embodies an entire economic worldview that looks upon employees as a resource to be
utilized, whilst corporations vie to command their unfair share of their respective markets.
