Responsibilities:
To bill consumers and make sure the companies or clients whom the
supervisors represent are paid in a timely manner
To track accounts of customers
To make sure that payments are current and accurate.
In the event a payment is skipped or falls short of the required amount,
billing supervisors will attempt to find the reason for the delinquency.
That typically involves include sending a "past due" reminder in the mail,
or calling the person who owns the account.
Billing supervisors may also be in charge of determining the amount of
late fees to an overdue balance. Some work with delinquent customers by
creating new, easier payment plans.
Responsible for dealing with money transactions of the organization
Maintaining a good rapport and communication with the employees and
clients
handles custom, complex billing, payroll and reporting process design
and implementation; troubleshoots billing and invoicing issues with
branch offices and internal departments; evaluates and audits staff
compliance with policies and procedures; effectively delegates work
assignments, as needed; oversees the department work flow to meet
established deadlines
