season, we’ll cover BHSS’s dramatic
victory, provide exclusive interviews with

at how the Hornets were able to win this
years championship.

The
Field Goal in Dying
Seconds
From the beggining to end the game was back
and forth, everytime the Hornets scored the
game was tied shortly after. It was a tied game
28-28 with 1 minute left in the game, and the
Hornets had possesion. On what they thought
could be their last chance to win the game be-
fore going to overtime, they put all their effort
in and scored a touchdown with 24 seconds
in the game. They just needed to play good
defense for 24 more seconds and they would
become champions. They were unseccesful.
The game was tied with 12 seconds left. The
Hornets had one last possession to make
something happen, and on the return were
stopped at the 40 yard line with 5 seconds
left in the game and called a timeout. As the
clock ran down they kicked the ball, and as
the clock hit 0 the ball flew through the goal
posts, they won 38-35 and became champions.

This season the Hor-
nets finished with a
record of seven wins and
three losses. Although not be-
ing one of the top teams, they suprised
everyone by winning the champion-
ship. “This team is special, even though
we didn’t win every game during the
season, I knew that we had what it takes
to win it all during the playoffs” said
their head coach. A few players men-
tioned how they believed this team was
“determined”, “strong” and “talented”. It
took hard work and a lot effort for the
Hornets to win it all, and seeing how
motivated they were can teach a lesson
to everyone. With enough motivation,
any of your goals can be possible.
