 CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND
In this era of globalization, technology is developing rapidly, lifestyle and
human needs are also getting higher. Lifestyles and human desires go hand in
hand with the times. Many small things are slowly showing changes due to the
development of this era.

Graphic design is a visual form that uses image media to convey or promote an
item to be more effective. Graphic design elements such as text are considered
as images because the text itself is often called a symbol to explain the meaning
of an author's work. Graphic design refers to the manufacturing process, both
design methods, namely design methods through concepts and technicians.
Graphic design also includes the ability of a designer or so that a work is made
in accordance with the knowledge possessed by the author. We can see a small
example in logos, banners, banners, billboards, flower bouquets, and many more
which are examples that the role of graphic design is very necessary. With this
field work practice, students can experience the design process from the
beginning to the end of the final project. Currently graphic design is developing
in society. Therefore, students must be able to face competition in an
increasingly competitive world of work and is influenced by globalization.
Graphic design has become a necessity for people in all areas of life activities.
Therefore, this report was created to help provide knowledge on how you can
create flower bouquet designs using Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 Software.

FORMULATION OF THE PROBLEM

Based on the above background, the formulation of the problem is obtained as
follows:

 CHAPTER II

THEORETICAL BASIS

2.1 Product
In this report, I show you how to design a flower bouquet, using Adobe
Photoshop CC 2018 software, which is the result of what I learned during my
practical work at Maha Graphic Printing & Advertizing.

2.2 Definition of Wreath

Wreathsusually seen when there are wedding ceremonies, birthdays,
inauguration of a place, expressions of condolences, and others. In that moment,
flowers act as an expression to be conveyed through the "language" of the flowers
in the bouquet. In general, flower boards are rectangular in shape with dimensions
of 2 X 1.25 meters, 2 X 1.8 meters, 2 X 2 meters and can be even bigger,
depending on the buyer. Board flowers for various purposes, of course, should not
be arbitrary in choosing the colors and types of flowers embedded.

2.3 Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 Software

In versions of CS6 or below, we will not find a window like the image below.
The image above shows Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 which has a cloud or storage.
There is a new project, which is to create a new project. Open project, open the
project that you created earlier.

The description of the color section is:

 Menu Bar( Red )

Menu baris an option that can bring up all the existing settings in photoshop,
so for example when we lose the layer settings then this menu bar is the one to
bring up the layer settings and so on. Now in the Menu Bar there is a File
menu, Edit, Image, Layer, Select, Filter, and so on.

 Options Baror Properties (Yellow Color)
Options Baror properties is one of the settings that can make it easier for us to
adjust all types of tools in the toolbox so the Option Bar or Properties can
change the appearance according to the tool we are currently selecting or
active. For example, when we use a brush, there are certainly many types and
sizes of brushes, so there are many types and sizes that are set in the Option
Bar or Properties.

 ToolBox( Green color)

Toolboxis all the placement of tools contained in photoshop, in my opinion
this toolbox is a place for photoshop pencils because it stores all the tools
needed to draw in photoshop. So when we want to create text, or various kinds
of shapes, this is the place to make it the first time.

 Palette ( Blue Color )

paletteis to control how the work in our worksheet can also set the color or
effect of making objects created by the toolbox, so this palette serves to add or
adjust an object, yes. For example, when we want to distinguish one object
from another, the palette controls it all in the layer section.

 Canvas (Purple Color)

Canvasis a Photoshop worksheet area, so when we design a layout, we work
only on the canvas. you can say canvas in photoshop is the paper in the real
world.

be adjusted.

can also drag it.

15. Eyedropper tool,namely a tool to take a color sample on the color we want or
imitate the color in the image, and we store it in the color box. Eyedropper has
other tools such as: 3D Material Eyedropper, and Color Sampler Tool.
16. Ruler tool, which is a tool used to measure width, height and other
measurements, as well as a ruler.
17. Note tool, which is a tool to add a note to our project or design drawing.
Usually this tool is used when creating a design with a group or team.
18. Count tool,that is to count the number of objects in the image.
19. Zoom tool,which is a tool to enlarge or reduce the image in our working
document. Shortcuts to zoom in (ctrl and +) and to zoom out (ctrl and -)
20. Hand tools,namely a tool to shift the view on the work document, we can use
the space on the keyboard or the H shortcut to use it.
21. Rotate view tool,namely a tool to rotate an object or an image in a working
document.

22. Spot healing brush tool,which is a tool to remove certain parts of an object or
image and cover it with the surrounding color. We can also remove facial acne
in photos.

23. Healing brush tool, just like the Spot healing brush tool, only this tool is the
part that we want to remove or cover according to the mouse motion.
24. Patch tool, which is a tool to replace the selected part, and also to correct the
image with the existing pattern.
25. Content-aware move tool, which is a working tool similar to the patch tool in
destination mode.
26. red eye tool, which is a tool to remove the color or red effect on the eye (cat's
eye).

27. brush tools, which is a tool for painting or coloring objects with various brush
shapes.
28. pencil tool, which is a tool for making scribbles like a pencil.
29. Color replacement tool, which is a tool to change the color of an object or
image.

mixing colors.
31. History brush tool,which is a tool to paint or color objects with our image
history state, or restore an image that has been colored.
32. Art history brush tool,i.e. the same tool as the history burst tool but this tool
provides a variety of certain arts.
33. Gradient tool,which is a tool to give color with several color blends on objects
or images, or give color to layers.
34. Paint bucket tool,namely a tool to give color to objects or images with a
certain scope.

 CHAPTER IV

IMPLEMENTATION OF FIELD WORK PRACTICES

4.1 Pre Production

The steps that must be prepared before making a flower bouquet design are as
follows.

1. Prepare gold ribbon png files and flower background png files.
2. Install Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 software if you don't have it yet
3. Prepare the words that we will put on our flower bouquet design

4.2 Production
After following the steps in pre-production, then we will start the production
stage, how to design a flower bouquet in Adobe Photoshop CC 2018.

1. Open the Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 software

2. Then a display like this will come out

3. Click file-new, select "custom artboard" name the document with

the name "Wreath Design" with a size of 200 cm x 100 cm with a
resolution of 72 pixels/inch and CMYK color mode because it will
be printed.

4. Duplicate layer which is named “Background” by clicking (Ctrl+J)

on the keyboard. Name it “BG”.

5. Create a border by using a guide, click the window menu, select
the new guide menu, type 5 cm in the vertical and horizontal
orientations.

6. Double click on the layer named "BG" until "Layer style" appears
then select the color overlay menu and change the color to dark
blue. Choose normal blend mode.

7. Put a flower background png and place it above the "BG" layer

8. Double-click on the “Flower background png” layer until the

“layer style” menu appears, select the color overlay menu, change
the color to dark blue. Choose the normal blend mode.

9. Click file-place embedded select the gold ribbon png. Place it on
the top layer and place it right in the middle of the artboard

10. Click the text tool to make writing, then place it on the ribbon icon,
block the text then increase its size, after that click the wrap text
menu, select the arc lower style, set the bend to "-19" then set the
horizontal and vertical distortion to "0".

11. Then it will look like this.

12. Click the text tool then type the text that we have prepared,
increase its size and place it right in the middle of the artboard to
make it look neat.

 13. Click the rectangle tool to create the bottom of the wreath.

14. Double click on the box layer until the layer style display appears,
select the gradient overlay then set the color.

 15. Click the text tool then type the name of the giver of this garland.
And set the size so that it is neat and place it in the middle of the
artboard.

4.3 Post Production

After finishing making the wreath design, it is time to do the final stage, which
is to export this wreath design into a JPG file format. Here are the steps.

1. Click file – save as

2. Select the folder where we want to save the JPG file of this design, choose
the JPEG format ( *JPG;*,JPEG;*,JPE)

3. Select the maximum photo quality so that the photos are good and not
broken then click "ok".

CLOSING

5.1 Conclusion
From this report, what I can conclude is that graphic design is a visual form
that uses image media to convey or promote an item to be more effective.
Graphic design also includes the ability of a designer or designer so that a
work is made in accordance with the knowledge that the author has. Currently,
graphic design is growing in society. Graphic design has become a necessity
for society in all areas of life activities.

5.2 Suggestion
The advice I can convey is that before we start making designs, it would be
nice if we think about a really mature concept so that the designs we make are
neat, good and maximal so that they can make the clients who order our
services satisfied with the results of our design work.
