TOPIC: DRUG ABUSE AMONG THE YOUTH.

FOCUS: EFFECTS OF DRUG ABUSE TO THE USER.

Style;

This program will use issue based presentation style because the topic s about an issue that is
affecting many youths in the society.

Objectives

To warm the youths on dangers and effects of drug and substance abuse.

To teach youths and all drug users how to learn and practice saying no to drugs.

Program description
Drug and substance abuse is one of the major deeds that s disturbing and dominating our
societies.

Most of the young people today are engaging themselves in the practices due to many reasons
ether per pressure or a form of a deadly fun.

Some of the drugs that are mostly abused include bhang tobacco cocaine and khat. High
consumption of these drugs leads to slavery and addiction among many other side effects.

The behaviors have side effects to the users which are dangerous. In this program the host will be
explant and listing the results of abusing drugs. One of the major effects s that any drug user s
always at risk of contaminating diseases such as lung cancer and liver cirrhosis as they also tend
to weaken one's immune system.

it also leads to an increase n the number of school dropouts and also pared judgment as one's
always under dugs. Additionally ht also leads to addiction where it becomes difficult for one to
stay without drugs for even a short period of time.

Domestic violences also another issue where the people affected with drugs always become
violent with their loved ones in the name of fighting over drugs.

Excess use of drugs brings death of the user due to weak immune system and lac of enough food
as the people tend to focus more on drugs more than food.

Finally nasty s guaranteed to the drug abusers as others can ran mad due to uncontrolled and
prolonged abuse of the same drugs.

Why waste yourself on drugs why waste yourself on having dirty fun?

HYPOTHESS

Drug and substance abuse seems to be an enjoyable habit to the youth and not known its
dangerous effects to their lives.

TREATMENT

The program starts with a short introduction and then a short shot of the host kalunda Titus who
appears on the screen.

The host introduces the programmer states her names and calm welcomes the viewers to the
week's show.

She then brings her audience not the show by telling them how the show will help most of the
youth's n dealing with drug and substance abuse. This brings about the introduction of the day's
topic: effects of drugs and substance abuse to the user.
She briefly describes the types of drugs that are mostly abused by our youths which include
bhang tobacco cocaine.

Directly she starts mentoring the effects of drug abuse one by one and explant each one of them.

She begins by explaining how dg users are lily to suffer from different types of diseases
associated the specific types of drugs. Again Mss. Titus that f a drug abuser as a student he or
she may end up dropping out of school or at the same time being expelled from their respective
colleges.

Adding on the same note K kalunda Titus explains how the major effect s addiction and the way
t makes one be a slave of the evil. She does this as she keeps eye contact with the only one
camera that s being used.

The camera captures all her facial movements and her openings of mouth as she pronounces the
words. Lastly she explains how drug and substance leads to domestic violence bankruptcy and
death of the user. She ends the show by urging her viewers to say no to drugs and the need to
help one another in the fight against drugs in the society. She also thanks her audience and
welcomes them to her show the coming week.

A significant tune plays as the screen disappears.

TARGET AUDENCE.

The man target audience as the oath n the society because they are considered to be the mean
victims of drug and substance abuse. Many of them get involved with drugs not known what
awaits them in the future. They ought to understand the effects of these drugs and substance
consumption.

Critical analyses of Maadlili Mema program hosted by kalunda on Bee Tv every Wednesday
afternoon.

Presentation style:

The presenter s well dressed and tries to compose herself as she delivers her message to the
targeted audience. Although she seemed relaxed and a little tensed.

Use of equipment

The camera operator did his job well as he ensures the camera does not shake during the whole
show. The presenter has her recorder well placed thus she s audible all through her presentation.
However its only one camera that is used thus less shots than they are required.

Observation on breathing

The presenter tries to show her relaxation as she knows what she is required.

However she fails to change her breathing and also change her face expression when she talks of
the bad effects of drugs. This n the end makes the audience unable to tell whether she is okay or
not okay with the effects.

Content

The whole content of the show is very educate and well researched a benefit to the audience as
much as it contain things that many youths are familiar with but do gore.

OBJECTVES

To educate people on the dangers that expose them to HIV/AIDS

To encourage mothers to test for HIV/AIDS virus while still pregnant

To encourage the people living with HIV/AIDS.

SYONOPSS

Many people just now the short form of HIV/AIDS and have no deal what t stands for. It's a
deadly disease that has no cure that only affects human beings and spreads through a virus called
HIV.

The disease is known to be contracted from one person to another through several means where
blood is the major transmission mother to child sharing of sharp and piercing tools etc.

However there are ways that the disease can be prevented which includes the proper use of
condoms during sexual intercourse not sharing cutting and other sharp objects and also screening
of blood before a transfusion s done. Additionally testing of pregnant mothers helps n reducing
the transfer of the virus from the mother to child of through breast feeding.

HYPOTHESS

Many people do not practice the required precautions of HIV/AIDS as t s required for them to.

TREATMENT
The program starts with the studio introduction by the host kalunda Titus. After stating her name
she welcomes her audience in between a nice hymn of a song playing in the background as the
whole studio comes to live. She then welcomes the audience and then introduces the day's visitor
Madam Rachel.

She talks about the topic up for discussion and then gives the community health officer a chance
to introduce herself fully to the audience. Without wasting time the host wants to know what
HIV/AIDS mean or stands for and the officer responds and the educate discussion starts.

Kalunda wants to know the ways that the virus gets n to the bodies of other people and the
officer seems to fully understand what she is likely to say as she answers all the ways so well.
Gong deeper she goes to the major topic of discussion as Rachel explains how the use of
condoms during sex lowers the chances of contacting the virus. In the process she answers on
what to be done in case of a burst and the measures to be undertaken.

She continues to tell how the mother to child contracts the virus and the ml that is supposed to be
given to the child to ensure her safety. She often heard stressing on the screening of blood as she
highlights its importance to the audience and the host constantly noting the points down as she
repeats them to the audience. Kaunda asks the doctor to comment on sharing of teems and she
encourages NO SHARNG.

Madam Rachel recommends that the best way to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS is through
ABSTANANCE. Quickly as usual the host reads some of the comments at her Facebook page
and presents the questions asked by some of the audience.

The host lastly thanks the audience and madam Rachel for making t to the studio and welcomes
both to the following week's show. She says her name once again and the show comes to an end.

TARGET AUDENCE

The program is targeted to reach adults youth and even children to create awareness of the
HIV/AIDS.

Critical analysis of Arya Bora program hosted by kalunda Titus on radio bee every Tuesday.

Technical operator (positive)

The studio and microphone in the studio are well used as the sounds of the host and presenter are
clear and audible enough.

Negative critics.

The host's microphone seems to be a bit noisy as t s also producing unnecessary disturbances.
This s because it captures her breathing pattern.

Contents

Both the host and the presenter are have a good content regarding the discussion topic as t s
educate and more valuable.

Negative critics

It's very common with the people hence easily gored by many listeners.

They are both relaxed that many of the audience have confidence that they know what they are
talking about.

They give each other proper and mature turns when tang or exchange views and onions.

The presenter keeping on tang to newly tuned audiences many the already listening audience to
