1. HEADLINE FROM A TABLOID
Positive Effects
It makes people to know what is the headline or the hot topic of that
particular day. It is the cheapest information provider and is very easy
to get. One of the example of these is the Sunstar, Daily Inquirer etc. Just
as this provides information, it also gives general knowledge over an
issue or topic.
Negative Effects
Sometimes the information in the printed media can be falsified such
as news of a particular event or a person wherein the writers will be
biased.
2. NEWS FROM A TV STATION
Positive Effects
It provides high quality information and is very interactive wherein
they can provide the sub info’s of that particular issue. Example of these
is 24 ORAS, TV Patrol etc.

Some people have difficulty accessing this type of information
provider especially those who do not have TV at home. Also the way

Positive Effects

taken. Examples of these are Google, online websites etc.
Negative Effects
The reliability of the source of this information is questionable since
internet is the home of fake news which it has the probability of the
information taken is not credible enough and not reliable.

Activity 1
*Online business during pandemic*
Since the pandemic, people around the world has all their time with
their selves which makes them engage to online business just to have an
income. Online businesses during the pandemic rose to its highest peak
due to the use of media. It helps the owner to connect with their customers
and at the same time, it keeps customers to be in touch with the owner. It
also increases the awareness about the brand you are selling, and boosts
the leads and sales by the promos being offer. It is very efficient and can
minimize the risks of getting the diseases since it is very flexible, you will
just simply scroll and click add to cart whatever you want whenever you
are in.
*Television and social media campaign about fighting climate change*
The campaign about fighting climate change becomes very effective
since many people can be able to see it unlike those printed campaign
wherein you will give flyers and make them listen to what you will say
which can make them lost interest to it. With the use of social media and
television, you can encourage and invite many people to your campaign
with the use of audio visual presentations which definitely can caught
their attention.
*Live State of the Nation Address of the President*
With the use of social media, it is very accessible especially to those
people who are at work or those people who are not at home since it can
be seen via Livestream of any social media. With this many people can
view the state of the nation address of our president even without the TV.
*Application of National IDs*
The application for the national id’s is very easy since the
registration undergoes via online which is very flexible and time efficient
since people doesn’t need to go to a certain place wherein they will right
their names for the registration. It doesn’t takes too much of the time of
the person. Social media are very helpful since they can post the other
info’s about the application of the national ID.
*Social media sites as a way to connect people*
Through social media, people can communicate to each other
whenever they are. As a means of communication, people can share
images, audio messages and even video calls in order to express views,
feelings and emotions. As social media can help people connect worldwide,
it also aide in forming deep relationships between people in the world.
*Students Conducting Research*
Media helps students to understand their research study better. The
media also helps the researchers to have an easy access to their target
audience which is an important element in a research study.
Through media, the analysis and the composition of each data’s, views and
results will be very easy. Also the gathering of data will be very at ease
since it is media, contacting of the target audience can be made and the
process will be on flow.
*Television program as learning environment for children*
Media helps children to learn with the television program being
played. Nowadays that mostly of the children are being woken by the
technologies, they will most likely to put their attention on these things
and which is a great advantage so that children can learn and at the same
time can enjoy what they are watching.

1. It gives skills to people to interpret and make an informed judgments
to the information’s and medias and as well to become a creator of
information and media in their own right.
2. A. It improves the quality of education by utilizing the educational apps
and websites that aides them in their journey while learning. Example of
these is the Khan Academy.
B. It improves the quality of economic by creating innovative ideas that
may enhance our state of economy with the use of the knowledge gain in
media. Example of these is to use the trending nowadays to create
profit.
C. It improves the quality of personal state by applying the learnings
and the reflection being made from the media. Example of these is to
apply the knowledge gain from media in the daily basis of a person’s
life.
D. It improves the professional state by applying the learnings to the
upstate of being professional individual. Example of these is as a
teacher, utilizing any e-learnings apps can improve the learnings of its
students.
E. It improves the quality of politics by utilizing the media to become a
medium of truth and promoting good and right leader for the country.
Example of these is posting on any social media about a certain
candidate that is based on facts.
F. It improves the quality of social state by using the media in creating
good relationships with others and to serve as a communication
worldwide wherein sharing of views and feelings can be done. Example
of these is posting on any social media sites about your favorite movie or
favorite song.
3. A. Its disadvantage to the economy is that it creates a less community and a
monopoly power since people are more likely to become more focus on
social media that even the shopping are most likely done online.
B. Its disadvantage to personal state is that people tends to become more
dependent on the social media that even the fake news are being believed.
C. Its disadvantage to professional is that it lets people to become also
dependent on the media especially on there job wherein media can give a
specialized help.
D. Its disadvantage to politics is that they can be biased especially over a
certain candidate. With media, they can cover the wrong doings and make
it as a good contribution to the country.
E. Its disadvantage to social is that it can create crimes between people that
can destroy the dignity and the rights of a certain person.
I am a media and information-literate individual. I will use different media
platforms to promote media and literacy skills. With the knowledge I
gain, I will be able to share my insights and opinions with others through
various social media platforms, such as posting on facebook about the
benefits of being a media literate.
