I did not go into my internship site this week, because it was Georgia College’s spring
break and I had plans to go to the mountains in Gatlinburg, TN. Although I did not receive any
hours this week, I am still on track to get all 480 hours by the end of the semester.
Although I did not go in this week, I did talk to my supervisor about what occurred at
Oak Hill while I was gone. On Monday and Tuesday, the students continued to play netball and
handball which Coach Peterson says the students have increasingly enjoyed as they have gotten
better at the two sports. Then on Wednesday, the students took their unit test on netball and
handball to assess all the things they have learned. Thursday, the students had a black history
show in the theater where all the students in exploratory classes went to learn more about the
history and culture. At the end of the week, Oak Hill only had a half day where Coach Peterson
Next week, I believe we will be starting a new unit, and I will start discussing and
planning my project presentation. This past week was nice to rest and have a break, but I did
miss my students and supervisor very much. I can’t believe the semester is almost over, but I
A few things I did at home outside my internship was look over the syllabus for the next
few upcoming assignments. I turned in my resume already and got that approved on Handshake.
In addition, I have created my appointment for my Mock Interview on April 4th at 10:00am. I am
working and chipping away at things slowly but surely, and I am feeling a mix of emotions as
this year draws near to an end. I am so appreciative and grateful for all the opportunities I have
had thus far this spring as I feel I have learned so much in such a short amount of time.
