Narrative Week 10

I did not go into my internship site this week, because it was Georgia College’s spring

break and I had plans to go to the mountains in Gatlinburg, TN. Although I did not receive any

hours this week, I am still on track to get all 480 hours by the end of the semester.

Although I did not go in this week, I did talk to my supervisor about what occurred at

Oak Hill while I was gone. On Monday and Tuesday, the students continued to play netball and

handball which Coach Peterson says the students have increasingly enjoyed as they have gotten

better at the two sports. Then on Wednesday, the students took their unit test on netball and

handball to assess all the things they have learned. Thursday, the students had a black history

show in the theater where all the students in exploratory classes went to learn more about the

history and culture. At the end of the week, Oak Hill only had a half day where Coach Peterson

was a hall monitor to keep the students in line.

Next week, I believe we will be starting a new unit, and I will start discussing and

planning my project presentation. This past week was nice to rest and have a break, but I did

miss my students and supervisor very much. I can’t believe the semester is almost over, but I

look forward to these last few weeks.

A few things I did at home outside my internship was look over the syllabus for the next

few upcoming assignments. I turned in my resume already and got that approved on Handshake.

In addition, I have created my appointment for my Mock Interview on April 4th at 10:00am. I am

working and chipping away at things slowly but surely, and I am feeling a mix of emotions as

this year draws near to an end. I am so appreciative and grateful for all the opportunities I have

had thus far this spring as I feel I have learned so much in such a short amount of time.
