Description
On Tuesday (22-3-2022) I taught kg2-c English lesson ( reading inquiry based learning) my main goal for this lesson is
to let the students think and use their brain, and be able to connect the real world with the story. I read for the students”
tiger who came for tea” story. The story is about a tiger who is hungry and went to Sophie’s house to eat. First I asked
them to see the cover page and tell me what they can see, some told me a girl, tiger, food. I asked them which is bigger
the tiger or the girl they all said the girl in one voice. I started reading for them the story first in English then I translate
for them in Arabic and re explain it in English and they were more collaborating, I had some students were making
loud voices and not paying attention so I use the behaviourism chart I told them if they want to be in yellow or red and
they kept quite and paying attention. I asked them what will might happen after the tiger ate the cupcakes. After
reading the story I let them get back to their tables to do the tiger, I gave them a plate, and tringle papers that can help
them to draw the tiger, I show them how to make and they apply it using black board marker and water colours and
they started to colour, after they finish I asked them to do clean up and here the mess started they start walking and
running around I tried to put a song for them about clean up so that they can listen It worked but still there were
students who don’t hear me so I called the names and told them to put their names on red. After finishing cleaning up I
asked the students to sit on their chairs and to “see and look” I asked them from where do we start writing some said
right but most said left and I asked them again and all said left. I write My name is Miss Moudhi, I told them to write
the same thing in their papers but with their names and draw what they liked from the story, the students kept saying
miss miss miss , I told them if you keep saying miss I will not see or answer you raise your hands I will come. On this
lesson I had some problems with controlling the class in next class I will be more better to control the class, but I
enjoyed this lesson much more than before.
Feelings
I did will while reading the story because all the students were listening and exciting to what will happen in
the story , because I kept asking questions on each page
Evaluation
I did well in connecting the story with our real life’s because all the students kept answering with I asked them
Analysis
The students did well in making tiger with the plate, and did well in listening because they were following
the rules
Conclusion
I were so happy with this lesson, it’s better if had the girls draw Sophie and the boys tiger
