address the needs of a growing district.
Tactics: Action steps to achieve the strategy
● PLSD has completed an enrollment study to determine the
anticipated growth.
○ Will constantly be updated.
● PLSD has and will continue make program placement
adjustments to maintain adequate space for all buildings.
○ i.e. Gateway, preschool
● PLSD will design a long-term building plan to address the
need for additional space due to enrollment growth.
● Communication plan to inform the community of the
progress of the action steps.

Hybrid Extended Learning Plan
● Learning will take place both in-person and virtually
● Students and teachers will follow their assigned schedule during both the virtual
and in-person times.
● Students will be divided into cohorts.
● Most teachers will be divided into cohorts.
● Students and teachers in the cohort will meet in-person and virtually
○ Change from previous hybrid model - when the students are virtual there will be virtual instruction
through Google Meet with their in-person teachers.
● Performing arts classes (band, orchestra, choir) will only be taught in-person
(virtual times will be practice times)
● Some students with IEPs (depending on the needed services) will attend in-person
school five-days a week
● Students will always keep the same in-person days (Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs),
Friday is the day that changes each quarter.
