Highlights of the work done:

1. Party left HQ, Nagpur for Dabra, Gwalior on 08.07.2021 for establishment of camp and initiation of fieldwork.

2. After camp establishment, party initiated the fieldwork with laying down of survey lines and acquired magnetic data of
01L Km.
3. Due to incessant rain and flooding in the survey area the party halted the fieldwork and as per the directions, returned to
HQ, Nagpur after closing the camp at Dabra.
4. For re-initiation of field work party again left HQ, Nagpur for Gwalior on 21.09.2021 and established camp at Gwalior
on 27.09.2021. Field work re-started from 28.09.2021 with laying down of survey lines.
5. One officer with magnetometer was released from party on 09 th of Dec 2021 temporarily to take up urgent fieldwork at
Tambegadi - Pathari item vide FSP ID: M2A_MEP/NC/CR/SU-MH-NAG/2021/36960.
5. Field data acquisition was finished and the party came back to HQ on 31 st Dec 2021. The final report was submitted on
25th of Jan 2022.

Geology of the area:

The proposed area lies in part of Toposheet No. 54J/08 in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh. The area forms the part of
Gwalior Basin equivalent to Purana basins of Indian subcontinent, which is mainly composed of sedimentary sequences.
Regionally the area comprises rocks of Archaean Bundelkhand granitoids, Lower Proterozoic Gwalior Group of rocks and
Upper Proterozoic Kaimur Group of Vindhyan Supergroup of rocks. However, the area around Lakhnauti, Bhaggeh, and
Ainti mainly comprises rocks of Bundelkhand granitoids represented by highly weathered granodiorite intruded by silicified
quartz reefs.
