About the Instructor

Prof. Manpreet Kaur has more than two decades of work experience. She has been a Corporate Trainer for
more than 15 years now. She is a Life Coach and a Psychologist. She has been associated with Brij Mohanlal
University since 2017 and has been taking various subjects like Joy of Innovation, Introduction to
Psychology, Strategic Risk-taking Skills, Joy of Management, Leadership and Ethics, Personal Journey for
Excellence for MBA and undergraduate students.

Course Overview

Today, everyone is expected to get lean, do better with less. That is why the need for Innovation. Mere
intelligence is not enough, thinking needs to be taught as a deliberate skill. This course teaches tools,
strategies and competencies to become an Innovative Thinker and uncover creative opportunities for self
to resolve problems.

Students will work on resolving real time issues faced at personal, professional, and macro level by
applying the techniques taught during the course.

Course Curriculum

This subject aims to compel students to think about their thinking style (meta cognition) through concepts
and formal tools like lateral thinking, parallel thinking, six thinking hats, brainstorming, reverse
brainstorming, mind mapping, etc.

It will help students to tap their hidden creative talent and help them Innovate by breaking and changing
their neuro pathways and creating new one to resolve life’s everyday problems. It aims to empower them
with various tools to generate ideas and help them determine which ones are likely to produce specific,
desired outcomes.
