I am going to be creating a Short Drama Film for my FMP.

Film Competition

Raindance is the film festival that I have chosen.

 Information on this festival

This festival is the largest independent film festival in the UK and this year
(2022) it will be their 30th festival. Some shorts that have been entered
into this competition have qualified for Oscars and BAFTAs. Every year,
around 16,000 visitors attend the Raindance film festival, including 500
industry professionals.

My Idea

My short film is going to be a Drama. My idea is about someone having a

house party and everyone getting ready for it at the beginning of the film.
Once the party starts, a drinking game is involved but 2 of the friends get
into a fight, it starts of verbal but then turns physical. One of the friends
dies from the fight so the group of friends make a promise to not tell
anyone and they have a secret funeral. If anyone asks where the person
is, they tell them they saw him leave and is missing. However, one of the
friends tells someone that wasn’t at the party that the friend is missing
but he is dead.

Target Audience
I am choosing to focus my production on 18–24-year-olds as it will be
based around a group of friends that are that age and they will be able to
relate to what happens with the drinking at the party.
