OBJECTIVES:
After going through this module, you are expected to:
• define language, campaign and advocacy;
• identify the types of campaign and advocacy;
• create an advocacy plan and a campaign material for an advocacy.
In this module, we are going to know the language used in campaigns and advocacies and how we
can integrate it in making

Campaign
A campaign is a planned set of activities that people carry out over a period of
time in order to achieve something such as social or political change. All campaigns,
despite varying purposes, are created using similar structures as well as through the use of
language and persuasive techniques in order to convince audiences to perform a certain
action.

3. Social Mobilization – these are used by grassroots-based
social movements, but also as a tool for the elite and the state
itself. It involves a lot of different groups like, civic organizations,
religions, and actions of members of institutions like, mass meetings,
processions, and demonstrations.
