RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS

This chapter covers the presentations of data gathered through tables,

interpretation and inferences on the Effects of Visual Aids in the Learning of Grade IV

Learners at Payatas B Annex Elementary School.

Table 3 showed the general response of 40 students in Payatas B Annex Elementary

School. The responses were classified under five scales: Strongly Agree,
Agree, Neutral, Disagree and Strongly Disagree. As a result, 20 out of 40

selected respondents whom responded for item number 6 , stated that

"I understand better by reading what the teacher writes on the board",

which got the highest mean score of 4.48 with the interpretation of

Strongly agree .

This implies that students at Payatas B Annex Elementary School are more motivated

and comprehend what the instructor writes on the board when

teaching or discussing lessons.

Meanwhile, 8 out of 40 respondents whom responded in item number 9 which says

that, "I learn more by reading textbooks than by listening to lectures",

got the lowest mean score of 3.10 with the interpretation of Strongly

agree. This implies that selected pupils in Payatas B Annex Elementary

School prefers listening to lectures, rather than reading books.

Overall, based on the understanding and opinions of selected

respondents whom responded 15-items questions the general weighted

mean score for this table is 4.02 with the interpretation of "agree" .

It implies that selected pupils in Payatas B Annex Elementary School is more engaged

in visual aids. And they learn better when their teacher use different

kinds of visual aids in teaching lesson.


Patesan et al. (2018) stated that Visual aids are effective instruments for assisting

teachers in the teaching of a foreign language. They can be used to

clearly convey complex information and add diversity to classroom

activities. The advantages of employing visuals in teaching are

numerous, ranging from catching and maintaining students' attention

to motivating them to connect with the lecture's specific topic and

assisting them in remembering information.


SOP 3. Is there a significant relationship between the effects of visual aids in the

learning and demographic profile of Grade IV learners at Payatas B Annex

Elementary school?
